As I watch the news of hurricane Florence, I am assailed by people who have stayed behind to face the full glory of God’s Wrath. Invariably they say “We have decided to stay. All we can do it pray.” Strangely, these people all seem to have dark skin, curly hair and thick lips and have daughters called “Shaquila”.
As 100 mph winds lash land and sea and as waves rear up like demons, has it ever occurred to any of these godless mor
ons that if you and your friend are stuck on the tracks in front of a run-away train, and you are the only one who prays, both of you are going to be seeing Jesus pretty soon? As it happens, the True Christian will not worry as he is going to heaven, whereas the atheist / catholic / muslim / heathen has his fate laid out anyway.
Likewise, when God sends a huge force to kill people, He isn’t that bothered if some souls are harvested early; they were probably all part of his plan anyway.
Do these cretins really believe that their house will remain dry when, next door, their neighbor is flooded in 8 foot of fetid mud and excrement?
Honestly, would God do that? Would you do that? And why should God do that? Did not the State tell them to leave and Did not Paul say:
“Ti:3:1 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,”?
So these fake Christians have decided to disobey God and hope God will help them – “God helps them as help themselves” as Jesus said.
When the whole place dries out, as it eventually will, the population will have been reduced by the number who disobeyed God, and thus the next time the sea engulfs the land and lays waste to life and property, perhaps it won’t be so bad as there will be fewer to be culled. However, the alternative view is that God will be demonstrating His AWESOME Power just as long as there are a few non-believers left.
