You can pretend those requirements don't really count, and like Mr. Smyth explained you can pretend other requirements are more important. At the end of the day, however, either you qualify or you don't, depending on the requirements. Well, the Lord God Almighty wrote the requirements down. He preserved them for us humans in the pages of the King James Version Holy Bible. Others can pretend all they want, they can even tell themselves they believe it, but it doesn't matter to God who knows better.
I would offer you the same warning as well - you can convince yourself all you want that God isn't real and the Holy Bible is naught but a rich, historical, mythological narrative of the Jewish, and then Christian peoples, but God cares not for your rationalizations. You either fit the qualifications (Salvation), or you do not.
I understand for people like you, people without a moral code that transcends their own profit, all morals look the same. I understand that you would look at the Aztec religion and think of the hundreds of thousands of live sacrifices as being just another viable way to practice a personal religion. We know, however, that even something as simple sounding as honoring your mother and father is not universal, and how we honor them comes from how God changes our lives when we accept Christ into our hearts.
Then read the Bible, dear. You'll learn much you don't yet know.
You're a confirmed atheist. Do you realize atheists are less trustworthy than pedophiles? It's true. I would no more trust a pedophile to tell me he has a decent moral code than I would trust an atheist to say the same. Neither know the meanings of the words "decent" and "moral."
In fact, atheists are known to be more dangerous than muslims, feminists, and even sodomites.

do you have something against muslims? they worship the same god as you, after all. You're also saying that you would rather meet a person who will repeatedly rape your children than meet someone who doesn't believe in an invisible being in the sky? That just sounds like bad parenting.

Daniel 12:10 "Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand."
Now you just run along and do wickedly and continue not understanding, like the Bible tells you to.

Muslims worship the moon god Allah. This is not God: it is one of the made up polytheistic deities from the Islamic mumbo jumbo religion.

Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Only a person who doesn't worship the real LORD is capable of raping children. Ever heard of the Catholic Church?
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! No. Atheists are normal people, like you. We simply do not believe in your god. We do not have an empty part in our life, because we believe that there is nothing to fill. We believe that there is no god, in any way, shape or form. Some of us do drugs. Some Christians do drugs.

Nonsense. You atheists admit to this emptiness every time you find Jesus. Kirk Cameron tells us so. Say, why not join the church now, and save time? Here are some fabulous reasons to join today!

Do you know how many times Noah's Ark has been found? The details like how two to seven of each kind of animal (including those considered unclean by God, parasites, and dinosaurs) are fascinating details that are constantly being explored and understood. The important thing is, God so loved the world that He destroyed every trace of Sin so Noah and his family could start humanity all over again!

Well if I knew, I would be God, wouldn't I? But I don't know, and therefore I am not God (Isaiah 55:8-9). I do know, however, that as a human my demanding to understand the complex mechanics of how tumors growing out of control, slowly killing the host body in a cruel and painful way, the slow and avoidable starvation of millions of children around the world, is as foolish as a dog demanding to know how the car engine works. The dog cannot comprehend this, but the dog can enjoy the ride.

Remember the thing about choices? Mankind had made terrible choices such that the LORD was grieved. In love He called do-overs. He wrote the rules, He gets to call do-overs when He wants, you know. You might find God's answer to Job about this very thing helpful. He starts by saying " man up, whiner, and look at the facts..."

Yes. When people hug or express emotions, I know that the emotions are real. When I see people crying, I can see sadness. Sadness is just a word for an emotion. The essence of sadness and happiness is something that I know to be true, because it has proved itself to me. If all happiness did was be mentioned in an old book, then I would have a lot more trouble believing in it, as opposed to when I feel it.

Jeez, thanks. My father believed in the truth, as I do. That is why we (Swedishpower1) and I are atheists. We are not deceived or deluded. We do not hate your god. We cannot find proof he exists. If he zapped himself in my room right now and told me off, then I would believe in him. However, the only proof of his existence is, when you think about it, an old book that anyone could have written.

Yes, because really, people back then NEVER had ANY kind of boat. The ark was the first EVER. TOTALLY.
That is what you sound like.
What about all the animals? Quite apart from the fact that your god killed millions of innocent creatures, how on earth did they survive? Let's compare the ark to the Titanic.
Height:
Titanic: 175 feet
Ark: 45 feet
Length:
Titanic: 882 feet
Ark: 450 feet
Width:
Titanic: 92 feet
Ark: 75 feet
Made of:
Titanic: Steel
Ark: Wood
On board:
Titanic: 3,547 people and enough provisions for several weeks
Ark: Over 50,000 animals, 2,000,000 insects, 7 people, a 600-year-old man, and enough provisions for 1 year.
Time at sea:
Titanic: 5 days
Ark: 7 months
Why did your god not send a plague to wipe out humans only? What could the animals have eaten afterwards? All the plants would be dead. The fish would be, too.

So astute, comparing yourself to a dog. If Christianity is correct, than tumors and the slow, agonizing starving of millions of innocent children can be easily stopped by your god. What is saving some people to someone who made every single star (approx. 300,000,000,000 in our single galaxy, in case you were wondering) in ONE DAY?

EXACTLY. The Christian god made humans to worship him. He did not people to want to think; people were punished for eating the fruit of knowledge. People were meant to be EXACTLY like the robots you mentioned: Unthinking, only able to praise you. How insecure is your god, anyway?

Is that not a contradiction in terms?
On THIS FORUM, Christians agree that if it were not created by their god, it cannot exist. If your god was always around, than he was not created by himself. Therefore, he cannot exist.

If you truly didn't hate God, you would have been agnostic. Agnostics are losers who have no faith whatsoever. Atheists are losers who believe (without any evidence) that God exists. From my point of view, the latter is pretty close to hating.

He is God. He does whatever He wants. I love Him so much! Sometimes, I imagine Him like a scientist playing around with lab rats: I think He enjoys making us live in inhumane conditions and observing how we react (like in Job's story in the Bible).

Wrong. God created the world. God is not world. God existed before the world.

So? Try reading the Bible, sometimes. The Noah's story is not the only story of God approved genocide (albeit it was unquestionably the one with the most victims). Genocide is the way of clearing up land for True Believers.

Do you really think that God, who had just created the right environmental conditions to flood the entire earth, keep one family of supercentenarians and a boat-load of animals alive, found Himself inexplicably stumped with the problem of feeding them, waste disposal, and keeping them from eating each other?

Not insecure dear. Jealous (Exodus 20:5; Exodus 34:14; Deuteronomy 5:9; Joshua 24:19).

On THIS FORUM, Christians agree that if it were not created by their god, it cannot exist. If your god was always around, than he was not created by himself. Therefore, he cannot exist.

If you are going to argue against a Biblical point, at least get the point right.

In the same way cutting off an entire breast to prevent the cancer to spread to the rest of the body is loving. Sinners are cancer upon mankind. We're trying to show you the cure so you don't get sliced off and thrown into Hell for all eternity.
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

I'm fairly certain that's not how my life goes. But how would you know? Try going out into the real world for a change!

It hit too close to home, didn't it? It is not rocket science.
I can tell you, no True Christian™ has the issues that Brother Worthington points out, only atheists.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Wrong. Because if we all descended from Adam and Eve, did they're sons had sex together? So it makes incest ok with god? Bah... religions are all the same. Same old circular logic

Back then, people were perfect. Even incest was perfect back then. God forbid incest much later, as it is explained in the Bible. You really don't understand what circular logic means, do you?
