I note that, over time, the Lord has demonstrated His skills at visiting destruction in many ways and that those means of smiting the wicked tend to change with time.

In earlier times, the Lord started out by killing off 40 or 50 Arabs at a time who were squatting on the Promised Land. Later, the Lord sent plagues of locusts and toads and He used pillars of fire. Populations were still small then and more colorful plagues worked well and got everyone's attention.

Eventually He used the English and the Yankees in order to pillage and destroy entire countries.

Lately, He has focused on violent storms, Earthquakes and African diseases, like the Ebola and the Aids, in order to destroy entire civilizations.

Clearly, we have seen an escalation of violent anger from the Lord since He first put us here far back in the mists of antiquity, over six thousand years ago.

The Scriptures tell us of the final days, "For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes in divers places.- Matthew 24:7
