It's not done yet. Laws have to be drafted and passed, and whatever a state declares, federal law still controls marijuana as a Schedule 1 (iirc) narcotic, and federal law trumps state. For something so contentious, expect years for even a partial victory to really happen.

The fact that a state-wide referendum showed the majority disagree with the law at present is the real reason to celebrate. Two is even better.

Why am I not surprised to see blame-America-first, commie-loving celebrity travel guide "Rick Steves" spearheading efforts to bring deadly narcotics into classrooms all across Washington state, shoving dope down our children's throats?
