Original Sin & Birth Defects - A Different Kind of Blessing -
01-07-2013, 01:21 AM
As a Christian Obstetrician, I'm often asked by new parents why God chose to give them a child with severe abnormalities. Whether it's spina bifida, Down's Syndrome, or like the Portway's gender bent little blessing, hypertrichosis universalis and congenital adrenal hyperplasia, these new parents are filled with questions.
Well, I always tell them the same thing. If it wasn't for Eve's transgression, there wouldn't be any birth defects at all. Women must bear the weight of Eve's foolish choice to eat from the Tree of Knowledge. All women are sinful creatures and their children bear the scars of this.
Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
Psalm 51:5
Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.
Jeremiah 33:6

I've often heard it said in True Christian™ that when a couple has a retard baby, it means that they fornicated during the wife's unclean time. Is that true in your Christian medical opinion?
Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:
Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

Is it possible that a previous abortion could have opened the mother's womb to demonic possession? When women think they can pick and choose when to be a mother, whether it is through birth control or abortion, they are all but inviting a demon-possessed retard baby into their wombs.
II Thessalonians 1:7-9
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power
The man who is being progressively sanctified will inescapably sanctify his home, school, politics, economics, science, and all things else by understanding and interpreting all things in terms of the Word of God and by bringing all things under the Dominion of Christ the King. -R.J. Rushdoony

The ways of The Lord are mysterious, and there are many reasons why God would test a couple by blessing them with a deformed child. But breaking any Biblical law could certainly be the reason behind having Him smite a fetus with the Down's Syndrome.

Indeed. We often see this happen. Once a woman has murdered her own unborn child, her womb can become a virtual breeding ground for evil.

Hi Doctor Kip!
Um, I have a sort of embarrassing question, but since you're a doctor and you specialize in "down there" stuff, maybe you could help me. See, I don't think I could ever have a baby. Without being to GROSS, a baby couldn't fit out of me. I've seen brand new babies and their like as big as a loaf of bread, and gosh Dr. Kip, those ladies that had those babies have to be different "down there" than I am!
Do you give some kind of operation to make lady places bigger so babies can fit out?
Tammi

I'm not a doctor, Tammi, but I've had a great number of babies, and no, there is no operation. You see, the Good LORD has deigned to create the woman's body to be a special incubator to the seed of man. It is a great privilege and great honor. This privilege and honor is something even the angels cannot accomplish. This is a special treat the Good LORD has bestowed upon woman kind, completely unmerited considering the curse we all are born to endure.
Anyway, if you are grateful unto the LORD for allowing you to incubate the seed of a True Christian™ husband, then He will be with you as you deliver that infant. And yes, "down there" does stretch out a bit. In fact, it never really recovers!
But that's okay, because although that's not spoken about as part of the curse, it certainly could be, and we deserve no less. (Genesis 3:16: ) Any desire for anything other than what the LORD gives us would be prideful, and we know what happened the first time a woman was prideful. She brought sin unto the entire world and everyone suffered because of her pride. (Genesis 3: 6-7)

Well put Sister Mary, well put. Tammi, trust me on this, when the time comes for The Lord to bless you with a child, your body will not betray you. Your young birth canal will stretch to fit the little bundle of joy.
Will it painful? Certainly. Will there be blood and tearing? It's certainly possible. As Sister Mary said, Eve's transgression all those years ago still weighs heavily on the souls and bodies of all women. But take heart dear, The Lord never us gives us more than we can handle.
Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.

Hello Doctor.
Explain Down Syndrome please.
1 Corinthians 3:18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
1 Corinthians 3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

Brother Captain, you can quell Naomi's selfish whining about having all kinds of fancy furniture. An infant can fit within an existing dresser drawer. Not only will that save you money, it also serves as natural consequences for the infant who refuses to keep quiet and sleep through the night, as you can simply shut him... her... it into the dresser.

Does God purposely form people in the womb with birth defects? The answer is yes. But let's look to the Bible for more information, shall we?
Quote:
John 9:2-3 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?
Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
Exodus 4:11 And the Lord said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the Lord?
|
If we connect these two verses together it is obvious that the Lord does indeed purposely form people in the womb with birth defects.
Let's look at just John 9:2-3 first. God formed this man blind in his mother's womb. Are people born with birth defects? Yes they are. God uses birth defects and tragedies to reveal His love and power after the fact by bringing good out of evil, as we see in the following inspiring verse.
Quote:
Isaiah 61:3 3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.
|
God creates deformed babies because through Eve sin entered into God's perfect world and brought sickness and death, not because of anything an unborn child has done. God allows children to be born blind, or missing limbs, or even covered in hair with ambiguous genitalia and precocious dentition like the Portway's little bundle of love, knowing full well that the child was made that way by Him in the womb. God does the same for murders and child molesters. He knows the choices we will make and yet He still allows us to experience the blessings and curses of life in hopes that we would see His goodness and repent our wicked deeds that He, being omnipotent, has always known we would do.
Quote:
Romans 2:3-4 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?
Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
|
God allowed the child to be born blind and then He later healed that blindness to show His glory and ability to turn beauty from ashes.
Now regarding Exodus 4:11. God tells Moses how He can make people deaf, blind and mute because He is God. Does God make babies that are born blind, retarded, or horribly twisted with spina bifida for a purpose? Yes He does.
Quote:
Acts 9:8-9 And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus.
And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink.
Luke 1:21-22 And the people waited for Zacharias, and marvelled that he tarried so long in the temple.
And when he came out, he could not speak unto them: and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple: for he beckoned unto them, and remained speechless.
|
These verses do not speak about birth defects, but they do mention that the Lord can make people blind, deaf, or mute whenever He chooses. So whether it is done in utero or at some other point in life, all afflictions come from God, and are therefore just and righteous choices that He makes for us.
Quote:
Deuteronomy 32:4
He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
|
Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.
