Default Is it a sin to fly coach? - 01-02-2017, 01:20 AM

I know that senior pastors and their families are generally in First Class (or own their own planes), but should True Christians™ join them in those expensive seats?

When my parents booked their flight to Rome, they chose economy seats. Of course, they're papists, so I suppose that's where the Lord wanted them.

I know we are supposed to exhibit humility in all our deeds. Is it pompous to have a reclining seat/bed and gourmet meal service at 38,000 feet?

I hope this isn't a trivial question. I just want to always please God, no matter what I'm doing. I don't even have any flights planned.

Proverbs 21:31 KJV 1611:
“The horse is prepared against the day of battell: but safetie is of the Lord.”

Lord, may I serve my equine brothers and sisters just as I do my fellow man.
Amen and Amen

Different airports have greatly differing standards for specialist meals. This would not bother a Christian traveller of course but who is that seated next to you and what is he doing underneath the blanket with a funny look on his face? I may well be able to do something for him but the revulsion I feel has no immediate remedy.
Mark 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover... kjv
Drinks. Apparently not all cattle class carriers offer a free bar or if they do the selection is very C minus probably sacrificed to idols for all I know and The Bible is very clear:
I Timothy 5:23 Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities... kjv
Once I flew "business class" and was actually served Australian champagne! Fortunately there was only two of us in the forward cabin that afternoon so my embarrassment was not displayed excessively. Unlike the other passenger who reminded me of the rest of that passage so I changed seats and got back against the window as far as I could and avoided any sudden moves
22a Lay hands suddenly on no man
22c Keep thyself pure
24a Some men's sins are open beforehand
24c Some men they follow after
context .. kjv
The grill being available at any time, a proper wine list, unobjectionable travelling companions well spaced and unlikely to start wailing makes this an easy choice for me. But I know some people have higher standards and for them I would recommend travel by sea.
