Not So Wise: Utah Man Charged With Chasing Owl in Paraglider
A Utah man is facing federal charges for allegedly chasing a barn owl with a motorized paraglider. If convicted, Dell Schanze, 45, could face up to a year and a half in jail and a fine of $100,000.
Now, the way I see it is the only reason you'd chase a wild animal is to eat it and Thanksgiving isn't so far away.
And yet we have: Deu:14:15
11 Of all clean birds ye shall eat.
12 But these are they of which ye shall not eat: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,
15 And the owl,..."
Can anyone help me here?

WHEN is this Obama office going to stop harassing Americans for using their God given right to kill animals? (Genesis 9:3)
First they take away our hunting drones and now we aren't even allowed to "harass wildlife"!?
I harass wildlife each and every day to get dinner on my table and I will not stop until the day Jesus finally kills me!

To most "Christians" The Bible is like a license agreement. They just scroll to the bottom and click "I agree". All those "Christians" will burn in Hell!

Can magic underpants wearing mormons even hunt?
As a Christian manly man practising my God given rights to utilize the animals He put on earth for us to kill and eat, I eat spotted owl pot pie for lunch at least 1 time every week.
In Mark 7:17-23, Jesus gives us a right to eat whatever we want, including mountain gorilla or panda if we so wish. No exceptions.
17 And when he was entered into the house from the people, his disciples asked him concerning the parable.
18 And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him;
19 Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?
20 And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.
21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:
23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

I'm not a certified Mormonologist, but a bit of sleuthing in one of the darker corners of the net suggests that owls have a deep symbolic significance in this "faith:"
The Three Parables–The Unwise Bee, the Owl Express, and Two Lamps
Apparently, a handful of "elite" mormons even serve in a strange quasi-priesthood that attends to the mercurial appetites of owls and other birds of prey.
But, if Mormons are chasing after their "scared beasts" in paragliders, that suggests they have no respect for the holy even on their own terms! That, or Mormon men have started thinking they're owls!
Mormons: Blasphemous or bonkers–pretty sad either way, if you ask me.
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. – John 8:36

Owls taste just like Chicken.
As do Golden Eagle, Hawk, Swan, Kestrel, Parakeet (apparently)
Typical mormon. Doing things the hard way.
It's much easier with a shotgun. (So I'm told)

I wonder if I could trouble your wife (or your chef) for the recipe, Brother? One of my boys had to put a Tawny Owl out of its misery after the stupid thing got tangled in the badminton net, and it seems a shame to waste it.

My 'under 4' kids hunt owls. Easy prey and they feel 'so big and all growed up' when they remove its' head with some OO shot.
Not worth it in my opinon, you can barely make a sandwich with one. But you know how those morons are, they'll do about anything and beleive anything if a person stands in front of them and yells loud enough. I think I'll follow the striaght and narrow and do as God commands.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Just use Paula Deen's usual recipe for chicken pot pie, but with owl instead. Scrape as much meat as you can from inside the owl, shred it with 2 forks and add it into the mix.
For decoration, glue some feathers and down from the owl around the pot, and place the wings on both sides of the pie, with the wings stretched out, like its flying. Looks really neat. The wings can additionally be prepared as Buffalo wings. Delicious really, like chicken but more gamey.
There's nothing that beats deep fried bald eagle on the 4th of July though. As White people can't hunt them because of racist laws, I get them from native hunters in the the Lower Sioux Injun Reservation in our northern neighbor Minnesota, always in exchange for a couple of bottles of vodka.
