Well, it wouldn't be a stew without carrots, right? A recipe for disaster is like any other recipe: you take away an ingredient or two and next thing you know the whole meal falls apart.
Just imagine if someone would've taken the carrot of video games away from Herr Kretschmer?

Just like to point out they aren't police, and they aren't (entirely) American.
The game's basis is Terrorists vs Counter-Terrorists.
Terrorists have four classes. Classes affect nothing except the visual costume of the terrorist. There is the Arctic Avengers, terrorists wearing snow camo jackets with the hood up and plain black ski masks.
There are the Elite Crew, which are just dressed in green jackets and tan pants. They represent gangsters and are often fond of handguns.
There are the Phoenix connection and another I forget.
Then comes the Counter-terrorists. Which, by the way, are not entirely American.
Four classes again, and as before only affecting visuals.
1. Seal Team Six
American counter-terrorist team.
2. GIGN (pronounced Gee Eye Gee En)
German counter terrorist and internal affairs force.
3. SAS (Ess Ay Ess)
British task force.
4. One more I don't remember. I don't play CSS much.
Also, I'd like to point out that the OP messed up with the description.
She said Counter-Strike, her link and picture were of Counter-Strike Condition Zero, which is in the same series but developed by another team and not an actual sequel.
Also, the son and friends were probably playing Counter-Strike Source, the 2004 edition of the game that was essentially a remake of the original, boasting incredibly improved graphics, sound, and gameplay. Search Counter-Strike Source on Steam.
The point of the game varies between maps.
map names beginning with cs_(mapnamehere), such as cs_office, are Hostage Rescue Missions.
The Counter-Terrorists must buy weapons and use them to either eliminate every member of the Terrorist team, or to fight through, instruct a hostage to follow them, and extract them to the Hostage Rescue Zone.
Terrorists must either eliminate every member of the Counter-Terrorist team, or hold them off for the set amount of time before the timer goes off and the Terrorists win by default.
Now, for the other official game mode, Bomb Defusal. These maps usually begin in de_, such as de_dust or the most famous map in FPS game history, de_dust2.
The Terrorists must buy weapons, and as always can choose to simply kill every member of the Counter Terrorists. However, one of the Terrorists are given the bomb to carry that round. There are two 'bomb sites' in each map. The Terrorists can choose to either, as before, kill the CTs, or to help escort and cover the bomb carrier as he plants the bomb. While the bomb ticks for one minute, the terrorists must defend the bombsite from the Counter-Terrorists, which were alerted as soon as the bomb is planted. If the bomb is detonated or all the CTs are killed, the Terrorists win the round. The Counter-Terrorists must defuse the bomb. Even if all the Terrorists die, the bomb must be defused or the Terrorists will still win.
The Counter-Terrorists can kill the terrorists before they plant the bomb, and if the bomb is planted, can defuse the bomb even if the terrorists are not killed.
And of course, there are many many modifications to the game, such as Gun Game, which provides each player with a certain weapon, and requires them to get either one or two kills (Depends on the server) with it before giving them the next gun on the list. There's a set lineup, and it almost always ends in a grenade level, where the player must complete the (for some reason) difficult task of killing an enemy with a grenade. After that is accomplished, they must get a kill with a knife. This objective is for both teams.
I don't mean to be obnoxious, but I wonder exactly why people on this forum take things so literally. For example, someone posted something about Portal, and I think they said: UPDATE: first portal game confirmed ass-sucking simulator. Then they linked a forum post where someone said Portal sucks ass.
Well, that is in no way confirmed. Even if it did actually mean that portal promoted ass sucking, it wouldn't be 'confirmed': it was a random post on the internet by someone who could very well be trolling.
Anyways, if the poster of that thread didn't know: 'sucks ass' is a common term not related in any way to sexual innuendo. It is the same as saying "that game sucks" or "this game is terrible". Plainly said, the person saying Portal sucks ass was simply expressing his opinion that he did not like Portal, and thought it was boring/unfun/poorly made. There is absolutely no sexual content in portal. There is actually no vulgar language unless you count the part where she compares you to an android (a robot) and says Android Hell is a real place.
Anyways, I'd also like to point out that someone that played a game and then did something even REMOTELY related in no way makes it a simulator. It doesn't even make it the cause. There are no schools in Counter-Strike or any entries in the series. There are no civilians aside from the hostages which you are tasked to rescue.
I'd just like to say, people here don't look into the game enough to criticize it.

Re: HIGHSCHOOL MASSACRE SIMULATOR 'COUNTER-STRIKE' STRIKES AGAIN ! -

I have to say, as a person who just happened to stumble upon this website, that this has to be the most hateful website ever. Towards any kind of person who realizes they have free will. In no way is Counter-Strike a murder simulator. All it is, is a game. A virtual video game, set in a virtual world, made up of pixels, and not real people.
All you people are so close minded, its ridiculous. Doesn't the bible teach you to "love thy neighbor"? It seems to me that every person here is doing the exact opposite. You seem to hate every single person in the world that isn't exactly like you. You spout how video games, movies, TV shows, and music are corrupting this world. That is entirely false.
Now I want to point out, I am an atheist. I do not believe in any god, whether it be Jesus, Zeus, Buddha, Muhammed, or Odin. To me, its all just fairy tales. Sure, some teach good values, just as Pinocchio teaches to listen to your conscience. (You all probably believe that story is satanic too, sadly) I am not an atheist because of anything else influencing my life. So you guys do not have to say the culture I'm surrounded by has corrupted my mind. I was raised a Christian. I'm a good natured person who does not intend to do any harm to anyone, in fact, I agree with alot of Christian values. I just do not agree with all the hate that comes with that idea.
Now back to how media is corrupting children. If any type of media is corrupting a child, think about how that kid might have been beforehand. He was most likely messed up in the head in the first place. Media did not change anything. For me, video games are an outlet. A place I go to relieve from my frustrations of daily life. I play video games, a lot in fact, but I also have a full time job, raise my daughter, and I have an amazing girlfriend. We teach our daughter to be a good human being and also to think for herself, to have an open mind, and to have self value.
So with that said, as an atheist, am I an evil person? I think not.
Sorry, just had to throw my two cents in, I felt deeply offended by reading this forum.

First of all, this is NOT a debate forum. We're right and you're wrong, according to Jesus. Please read THIS thread before making an even bigger fool of yourself.
Secondly, while the internets might seem to be "free" to you, this particular corner of the internets is a privately owned Christian forum. The rights you have on this forum are listed HERE. Please contact a Pastor immediately if you feel that any of your rights have been violated.
Finally, your unsaved opinions or tantrums are not even slightly of interest to us. We follow the Holy Word of God TO THE LETTER, and make no apologies for that. One of the most important commandments in the Bible tells us to avoid unsaved scum such as yourself. You wandered in here uninvited, and unwelcome .
If you want to debate people, THIS is the place to go.
Please make a thread of your own in the " Introductions" section of the forum, so that we can properly greet you. Tell us about yourself, your church, and how you came to find Jesus.
And if you're here to flame us, better take a look at THIS before making an even bigger ass out of yourself.
I will pray that the Holy Spirit enter you and chase the demons out of your rectum and let Jesus fill you with His Grace. If you use your God-given free will to reject Christ and His temporary death on the cross for my sins, then you are sending yourself to hellfire.
Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:
Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)
