You have received an infraction at The Landover Baptist Church Forums.
Reason: Attempting to recruit our children to paganism
I'm sorry but I couldn't reply to this by private means since that option has been blocked for me.
I've seem to have crossed some sort of line here, which I wasn't aware of and I apologize for that. What is pagan about my previous post?

Ok, thank you for accepting my sincere apology.
I don't consider myself New Age or anything. Was it mentioning pain and boredom offensive? And if so, why? I'm afraid I don't understand how that is anti-christian.

You are suggesting sexual relations should be not be painful and boring. That's not Christian (note the capital) at all.

Wow! I didn't know that.
Out of curiosity: Where in KJV 1611 does it say that it should? Since you know more of the word of God than I do, and I don't want to cross that line again.

God does not want us to enjoy sexual relations.
Genesis 3:16Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

Oh.. but wasn't that the penalty of the original sin? Which Christ washed away with his sacrifice?
And besides I found another verse in KJV1611 that would prove my point:
Quote:
Ecclesiastes, Qoh
[9] Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that is thy portion in this life, and in thy labour which thou takest under the sun.
|
That is clearly the wish of God to have a joyful matrimony.

Jesus did not wash away original sin with His sacrifice. Original sin is washed away in Baptism. But that is not just punishment for original sin (which simply means that people are born completely evil), it is an unending curse upon the world, caused by the expulsion from paradise. If Jesus' washed it away, why does it still hurt when women have children?
And yes, joyful matrimony. It does not mention sex. A couple has to be happy in spite of sex.

We're bipedal creatures, which means the femurs are located right beneath the hips. In birth, the hips displace to let the baby pass through, which causes the excruciating pain for our female companions. This doesn't happen in any other creature because other mammals walk around in all-fours and the other bipedal creatures lay eggs.

Sex *is* a part of the holy matrimony, it is the means of becoming fruitiful and multiply.

And found another passage where it says that if you truly accept Jesus in your heart, you will be cleansed of ALL sin
Quote:
1John.1
- [7] But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
- [9] If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

So if birth pangs were a punishment for original sin, that would mean saved women would not get them, am I correct?

The bible says so clearly, the original sin's pain is in conception. The birth pain is just natural. Like the pain a man has when passing kidney stones the size of peas though his urethra.

It's the conception that's painful? You mean the act of sexual intercourse? I agree.

But sex is only for children, not 'manly rewards' and if she's doing it to get out of sex, then it's his fault because he must not be very good at it.

I meant it's to produce children, if you made that connection you're the sicko.
