A prayer for my Niece

My older brother, who strayed and has not come back to Christ, has a 3 year old daughter whom I adore. My mother, a fearfully Godly woman, has done the majority of raising the child, but I found something out about her life away from my mother that shocked me.

Her father lets her watch Disney movies. Yes. Like Frozen! And Nemo! I was in shock and horror.

I attempted calling my brother but he didn't answer my call.

I would like to ask prayer that my mother can gain full custody of the child and keep her safe from the wretchedness her father is exposing her to! It should be considered child abuse to brainwash a child with such a hideous liberal agenda!

No point, dear. Jesus tells us not to waste our precious time and efforts on those who won't listen. According to Jesus, your brother is like a filthy pig (Matthew 7:6), and I for one won't throw my pearls before it. Nor will I waste my prayers. I have many prayers to pray and only so many hours in the day. It's a big responsibility to pray for people's needs. It's practically a full time job. Besides, with your brother's rebellious spirit he's already closed the door to Jesus' Bosom for your niece, her children, and maybe even grandchildren (Numbers 14:18).

I in no way mean to argue, and if I overstep or am wrong please correct me, But Deuteronomy 24:16 says "The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin."

So as I understand her life will be haunted with his iniquity throughout her life, Is there no way to save her soul?

You're very kind, dear, and I don't think argumentative. I think you're genuinely seeking Christ and I'm happy to share with you what the Bible says. Please keep in mind I didn't say anyone was going to kill your niece. I think that's reading into the Bible what's not there.

But in answer to your question, yes her life will probably be haunted with his iniquity. That is to say, Jesus will likely withhold His Blessings from her, nor will He listen to her prayers (Isaiah 1:15). But the LORD is merciful, and perhaps He will deign to let her grandchildren taste sweet Salvation if she teaches them the Gospel and they hold firm to it and accept Christ. So rejoice!

Dear Mrs. Onmyknees,
I know this may sound like a strange question but, if you do not mind this intrusion, was the child of your sister born in or out of the sanctity of wedlock. I ask this as I would then be able to draw a conclusion from my own perspective. The thing is dear, in order to formulate a pious and proper advisement in accordance with both God's and local laws, we need all the sordid details. Don't leave anything out.
