Friend you are correct in pointing out that the KVJ was translated. But consider this: this translation was done under the supervision of God Himself by people under the influence of God Himself! He would not let error slip into His book. The KJV is the only English version necessary because God got it right the first time. God not only kept it inerrant but all translations leading up to translating it into the Divine Language of English.
