Hello -
04-17-2012, 04:04 AM
My name is Jackie. I am a 25 year old female from Ohio. I was raised in a non-denominational church of god and attended christian schools until i was in 6th grade. I have not attended church in 8 years. Although I do not believe in organized religion, I do believe in a higher power.

Hi, Jackie. Do tell me, what evidence causes you to believe in this "higher power"?

Then why are you rejecting Him? Does that make either you or Him happy?

Honestly, I have no evidence. I think because I was raised in a devout christian home and had it drilled into me from birth, I can't believe that some sort of higher power doesn't exist.

That's it?
Sorry, but we're not going to just take your word for it. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, after all.

Attending church does nothing for me. It's insane for me to believe a book that has been rewritten over and over through out history to fit organized religions agendas.

I see, so you dismiss the only reasonable evidence we have for GOD, yet you don't think it odd or insane to say "I think there is a higher power because I was brainwashed to think there is a higher power."

I'm not claiming to know anything. I haven't been convinced otherwise so that's my opinion.

But I thought you said you believe in a higher power? That's what that 'book', as you call it, tells you about.
Do you believe there's a higher power who let's there be a fake book of what He wants from us around, so you can believe in whatever you want? Are you making up your own higher power? One who will be what you want Him to be, rather than what He is?

You say you don't claim to know anything, yet you claim to believe in a higher power, and then you say you haven't been convinced otherwise.
Otherwise of what?
Do you see the contradiction here?

I don't understand. Do you believe or not? First you say you believe in a higher power, then you say you don't know. Which is it?

Don't you think millions of Christian scholars would have uncovered this hidden agenda by now? Your paranoid conspiracy theory is only evidence of your ignorance and desperation.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

I believe in a higher power. I don't know what exactly that higher power is. I don't agree with alot of what organized religions preach (whether its baptist, catholic, lutheran, non-denominational, ect..). I'm not saying I'm right and you're wrong. It just my opinion. I haven't figured out exactly what I believe in.

You're not saying that you're right and I'm wrong, yet you are disagreeing with me. Do you know what agreement is?
If you don't believe in God, you don't believe in God. If you are uncertain, and you know you don't know, then you don't believe.
Believing is thinking you know something. Agreeing is having the same opinion.
Master the basics before trying to hold a conversation.

I admit "hidden agenda" might have been poor choice in words... I guess I just don't understand why there are so many different versions of christians with all the different denominations. Why isn't there one version of the bible and one united denomination? What makes one right and one wrong?

Well you've come to the right place.
If you will but keep an open mind, we would like to imprint our beliefs upon you, as the Bible tells us to.

There is one version: The King James Bible.
The reason there are so many denominations is because so many people are uncomfortable with the tough parts of GOD's word, such as commands to kill disobedient children, GOD's instructions for buying and selling slaves, extermination of undesirables, and policing of our thoughts.
So they go and change it and make up their own version of Christianity.
We happen to be perfectly happy to follow the word of GOD to the letter, so we have no need of denominations.

You can start by reading every single line of THIS.
I hope it helps you understand why the KJV is the TRUE Bible.
