These stupid scientists from Godless Denmark claims the world is at least 9,500 years old, spitting in the face of all true creation science. Everyone knows the world is around 6,000 years old, it's impossible that this tree could exist before God created the world.

The world's oldest tree has been found on a mountain in central Sweden – and it is still growing.

The 9,500-year-old Norwegian Spruce was discovered by scientists at Umeå University during a 2004 tree census in Fulufjällets National Park in Sweden.

The age of the tree was established using carbon-14 dating at a laboratory in Miami, Florida after an investigation by the university.

It has been able to survive so long thanks to the process of vegetative propagation, which means it is able to effectively clone itself.

While the visible portion of the 13ft tall tree is relatively new, its root system has been growing for almost ten thousand years.

The parts of the root system that were sent to the United States dated back nearly 10,000 years, it is possible that other parts are older, locals told Aftonbladet.



‘During the ice age sea level was 120 meters lower than today and much of what is now the North Sea in the waters between England and Norway was at that time forest,’ Professor Leif Kullman, professor of Physical Geography at Umeå University, said.

'I can imagine that it may be probable that the first firs came from these areas.'

Professor Kullman has named the tree Old Tjikko, after his Siberian Husky.
He says wind and low temperature have seen the tree end up 'like a bonsai tree' with a lot of firs and a small trunk.

'Big trees cannot get as old as this,' he told Aftonbladet.

Not the most convincing photo I've ever seen - it looks photo-shopped to me. It reminds me of a science project I did with my grandchildren, to illustrate how atheists fake "evidence". We made something very similar in our home freezer, using only some twisted coat-hangers coated in lard and icing sugar.

But even if it is real, what is a Norwegian tree doing in Sweden?

During the Flood the sea level was A LOT HIGHER. How does he account for that, eh?

That time we picked the wrong mushrooms, I imagined that it might be probable that there was a tap-dancing pink Komodo dragon in the bathroom. That did not make it true (fortunately).

I'll agree with Mrs. Hun, this doesn't even look like a real tree. Assuming it is not a weird-looking snowman, and that there is a tree somewhere under all that snow, just look at the size of it: it's impossible for it to be older than the world itself. Trees grow as they get older, and I have an 20-yr old apple tree in my backyard that is much bigger than this one. So I would give this tree 10-15 years to the most.

I believe that this announcement is related to the plan of some Norwegians to establish hiking trails and ski resorts in their snowy wilderness. It is clear to me that this is an exercise in the "Big Lie".

As we can see from the picture provided of their 10,000 year old tree, the ground is flat and featureless and covered with snow. There are no hills, so the foolish desire to establish a ski resort is never going to come to fruition. The snow will blow over the trails, so any hiking tourists would become lost and freeze. Clearly there are many obstacles to establishing a tourist resort where there is nothing to see but an enormous expanse of snow and ice.

Thus, the big lie.

The principle of the big lie is that people might not believe a little lie, but they wouldn't believe that someone would make up a really big lie, so they believe it. If they had said their tree was 800 years old, people would have said that was ridiculous. They say it is ten thousand years old and there are a few unsaved, like the vacationer in the picture, who will believe it.

Other big lies from the past:
The Jews have gone east to resettle.
We built a wall around West Berlin to keep the Americans out of East Germany.
Niel Armstrong has gone up yonder to the Moon.
Every family will save $2500 a year on healthcare.

This is a big lie, too.

Not all scientists conspire against the LORD freely like Richard Dawkins, but they're not a particularly bright bunch of people, never having learned the skills of critical thinking. Instead, they simply parrot what they've learned, and repeat what they think makes sense. Confirmation bias plays a large part here, as well.
