not to argue, but to debate -
01-06-2012, 06:00 PM
My name is, obviously, Ryan Smith. I am gay, believe that there is a higher power and that no one man can properly interpret any scripture that has the possibility to be tampered with.
I am not here to argue, but rather see others ideas. While things may get heated in this forum, know that I do it only in the utmost urgent of moments and will never mean anything: rude, hurtful, or otherwise slanderous and emotionally hurtful to anyone who doesn't do the same...
I have read through your posts, gotten background, learned what you care and do not care for. I grew up with a religious family, was cast out because I am gay and live close to 2 very imposing churches, nothing you can say or do will turn me straight. [After this statement you can either ignore it and hurry up and post, or read more on my story and ideals]
By now it should be obvious that I don't share your beliefs and that I don't plan to conform, but I would like to share with you. I don't want to resort to anything rude, but sometimes emotion can take hold of actions, and for that I will apologize in advance. I want you to see the way I see, feel the way I feel, and in return, I will try to do the same. I would like to say that I am a very understanding person, but I cannot be the one to judge myself, so please see me as you want, but I will always try to see what you see.
Yes you are probably thinking "Oh no not another one" or that you will easily sway me, but know that I spent years in a christian community and know that I cannot be swayed.
Also note that I cannot change who I am, I have tried to "turn myself straight" but that is as simple as it is for you to turn gay. This is not a choice, I was made this way.. I was made in a way that is different from you, but the same, we are different but alike. I am unique and so are you, we may look similar but inside we bleed, cry, love, and breathe the same. I have been beaten and left, made fun of, cussed out, and all together felt alone many times in my life just because of the misunderstanding society we live in. To tell me that I can't be gay, or say that God hates gays, well here is how I see it
1.) I didn't realize that God, creator of life and emotion, hated anyone. For that matter even hates what he created, he loves everyone, or so the bible says
2.) Being told that I'm hated, well for a teen who lives in Michigan and has such different beliefs you can bet I've seen worse ways for people to show their dislike of my views.
3.) I have seen more hate on this site than any other, please don't bring it here, this is place for understanding, this one forum would like to stay clear so we can see each others points of view, not our slanderous, foul, words to each other. ("10 reasons why God hates Sweedsed" and I've witnessed the words "faggot", "queer", and many more terrible phrases here)
So this is my Thread, and I would like to begin it now; please be my guest and take the floor

I'm sorry that you trust something that could have easily been written by man, bent by will, and changed by the Government who is so corrupt and for what ever reason includes God in everything.

The Bible was written by man - under the divine dictation of God.
2nd Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
2 Peter 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
Habakkuk 2:2 And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
Why did you choose to become a gay? Do you have the AID?

We KNOW that that is not the case. Look at this,
2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
YIC
Jack
Genesis 22:2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
I know God wouldn't let me believe in Him if He didn't exist.

Also, this could possibly mean where our lives lie and come from, it would unarguably be an abomination if a man could give birth, until God creates one with such ability.

As for the fag pity party, don't expect us to attend. I was a queer young man, and it WAS my choice. My choice to be aroused by strange men, my choice for sodomy trysts in truck stops, my choice to smoke meth to "enhance" the experience and my choice to become miserable and feel nothing but despair as I ended up in the gutter, literally.
You can make the right choice and leave the wicked sin behind, but you must want to clean the nasty stain on your doomed and hell-bound soul.
May you accept Jesus Christ inside of you rather than the mansteel of strangers.
In Him
Matthew 19:14 "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven."

Friend, welcome, I am glad to see you here. Tell me about you! How long have you been married, how many sons have you bounced on your kees?
I'd like to know about your personal relationship with Jesus. I'l be happy to show you mine too.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

I don't have AIDS* and being gay was not my choice, I tried to turn myself straight and yet couldn't because it wasn't the way I was made. Zechariah Smyth- to you I'm sorry that you don't see the way I see but to slander my posts with insults, like calling them "sissy" is almost insulting to yourself...
For the record, being gay doesn't automatically give you AIDS
Also, those who believe that it is choice, you still have the urge, you just hide it.. either that or you are Bi-sexual.

Until you provide this Scripture that "cannot be tampered with", what is there to discuss?
If not the Bible, what do you base your belief in a "higher power" on?

You'll eventually get the AID, it's just a matter of time if you continue in your deathstyle.
So you did try and turn straight but failed. The reason is you didn't walk the straight path with Jesus. There are quite a few ex-gays here, Brother Porter for instance - a man I am proud to call friend.
You can do it Ryan, pray your gay away!!

Also, I would love to raise children one day, I help raise my niece who is premature and through the help of my sister and I, is now healthier than any on time baby her age!
Now with the "infraction" I received I now know what kind of people inhabit your religion, you tend to cause irate feelings inside me but I will keep them from you, the fact that I am told that I am going "yap yapitty" while only trying to explore your beliefs leads me to realize that you not only don't have the comprehensive abilities to understand that I am not here to impose but also lack the compassion to see that (even though I am beyond this stage and will not allow such vulgar minds to do me harm) I have once tried to end it all for myself because of people like you and have a friend that did so..

Also I have belief that there is a God, just I am unsure if I want to conform to a religion to show that, constant worship shouldn't be a requirement to me..

So from ONE interaction from ONE person here, you judge ALL. Prejudiced, much?
Quote:

That'd be the Bible causing that. These people are just re-acquainting you with it's real contents.

Fail.

Though all you've done here is spout about your own beliefs.

So they lack the "compassion" required to be psychic? I guess I do, too.

Then why do you hate God by choosing to be gay?

Ryan, if you want to stop your gay lifestyle, you may want to try it one small step at a time. If you have been gay for a reasonable amount of time, you most likely prefer black penis exclusively. Well, step one towards leading a Christ-like lifestyle would be to only date Italian men for awhile, then Latin men, followed by white guys, then when you are satisfied with Oriental men, you are almost home free.
Your next step is finding a she-male, then a manly female, then a normal female with an enlarged clitoris. This simple seven step program helped me recover from my homeristic behavior. Now, when I go to a gay bar or bathhouse, I am hardly tempted anymore! Isn't baby Jesus just peachy!!

ok 1 that is the most disgusting thing i have ever heard,
2.) I don't hate god, I would like there to be a higher power, I just haven't found any proof
3.) you seem to want this short and sweet, but I can't post a link to this site with out explaining exactly what I mean when I say all you people don't have compassion, I mean in general, there are always exceptions...

So you're here looking for new playmates? We're not gay, sir. We're True Christians™ who love the LORD and not you.
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

And to tell you the truth, the majority of you have not only taken what I say out of proportion, but also make stuff up...sort of like the bible..
You all are too prejudiced to see past your own beliefs and understand mine... I don't give a piffle what all you holy rollers think, I just thought I could meet someone on here with enough understanding to tell me exactly what its all about, this is why you have so much resentment. The majority of you are a bunch of one way idiots that believe what ever you've been spoon fed by the world.
