I found this thread as I was at the site of the siege and somehow this thread came up. I found factually inaccurate information which needed to be rectified. If people actually spent 5 seconds to look into what they're so desperate to comment on, perhaps there would be less misunderstanding in the world.

What an impolite young woman! Still, as always, I am unbiased and it is a distinct possibility that there is a small grain of truth in this rant. It seems that the Austrian capital is actually Vienna or Wien in the country's own language. Why would they do that? Do the inhabitants call themselves Wieners?
