Jesus Vs. Heroin: Police in Kentucky Pray Away The Drugs -
05-27-2014, 08:18 PM
Well Praise the Lord Jesus Christ Almighty! Will His Sovereignty ever cease to amaze us? Officials in Owensboro, Kentucky have a problem on their hands - Heroin. But they have Almighty God on their side! Armed with the full armor of Christ, the police department and local justice system are going straight for the jugular of Big Drug - Sin!
Owensboro service held to 'pray the heroin away'
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Through Scripture, God promises us that He will glorify Himself by purging Daviess County of heroin:
[John 14:13 KJV] 13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

This is wonderful! All the drug rehab and social services are just ways to make busy work for public employees. Prayer is more effective, and it doesn't cost the tax payer anything!

Amen, and amen! However, I'm was a little puzzled when I read:
"The jail was also dedicated as a place where God can work in the lives of the inmates."
Are they saying God couldn't work His miracles before the "dedication?" Also, why are they making this so difficult? If they are true Christians, all they need to do is ask. (John 14:14). In the closet. (Matthew 6:6).
If a Channel 14 camera happens to be in the closet while they are praying, I guess it's not their fault.

Right you are, friend. Why, you'd be amazed at the surprises I've gotten when away from home, and praying in a closet not my own.

Praise Jesus! Prayer and Biblestudy are the only effective ways of fighting drug abuse. People who drink too much or use drugs just try to fill the emptiness that atheism and disbelief leave behind. Accepting Jesus as your personal Savior will fight the cause of drug abuse, everything else will at most fight the symptoms.

Of course God could have worked his miracles in the jailhouse without a dedication. But would He have? Obviously not, since they still have a heroin problem. The dedication certainly won't hurt.

In fact, they don't even need to ask, since, as Jesus told us in Matthew 6:7-8,
...when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
My guess is that they did pray privately in their prayer closets, but also made this public to put Satan and his minions on notice that they aren't welcome in Owensboro, Kentucky. I am confident that no demon will ever set foot in that town again. They can probably get rid of their police force entirely, now that they're under God's protection.
