This video is a good example of an intellectual debate between atheists and theists who defined themselves as Christian. The biggest point in the debate that was highlighted was that there is no actual scientific proof behind god. The bible is not scientific proof or proof at all merely because you claim it was "created by god", as you have no proof of that besides it telling you so.

Atheists love to debate because they're insecure. When we have Truth which is plain as day to anyone willing to look at the world with eyes unclouded by sin and hatred for all that is righteous, why should we be compelled to debate or prove anything?

The proof of God's existence is all around you, friend. The Truth is inside you too, friend, whether you like it or not. You're just suppressing it because you are addicted to sin.

I am curious why you find the need to debate with atheist in the first place about religion. If you are sure in your beliefs then why does there opinion matter so much. There would be a lot more peace in the world if everyone just let people believe what they want to believe and go about there lives. Just for the record I am not an atheist.

Dear Chantal,

It is not about debate. This is NOT a debate forum but a place for WORSHIP. It the the goal of all True Christians™ to save as many souls as possible from eternal damnation and Hell. An atheist is condemned (similar to religious people who have not been able to perform the relatively simple leap of deduction JESUS = GOD) and it is our DUTY to make him see the Light that is JESUS.

John 3:18
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

I'm not necessarily fond of atheists but I LOVE THEM enough to want to save them from damnation. I don't hate or despise them. God does.

What would you if you met a person who wants to commit suicide? He stands there at the edge of a roof, threatening to jump. What would you do? Would you be unconcerned and cold-heartedly say "I don't care if you kill yourself, you can believe and do what you want"? This indifference makes Jesus sad. Atheists commit spiritual suicide. Why not rescue them from eternal death? Let's wake them up by slapping them with the Holy Bible, they will thank us later!

I have no interest whatsoever in "debating" with atheists. Their opinions are vexatious and devoid of value or significance. I would certainly never dream of going to an atheist forum and arguing with them: I am far too busy! And I think you will find this holds true for all of us at Landover Baptist, both Pastors and congregation.

But when atheists come here, uninvited, to this privately-owned Christian forum, what are we expected to do? Usually they are simply here to persecute us, but sometimes God has sent them here for a reason. We are not such cold and uncaring people that we would reject them out of hand. We do the best we can.

I think you will find that it is Christians who are persecuted. It has happened for years and Jesus has told us this is how we know that we are righteous.

Many people who haven't even read it call it names, and falsely accuse it of teaching wrong things like racism, killing, etc. But nowhere does it say such things. It teaches Love, forgiveness, and hope. The acts committed by people in the past in the name of religion is probably the reason of such outbursts. But those things has nothing to do with Christianity. All they show is how vulnerable man is that the moment we turn away our eyes from God to the things of the world, temptations to sin bombard the imagination and we succumb to it. May God the people of this world the truth and people realize the truth. May God use me and other people so that we may gently and boldly spread the gospel.

Amen friend! We here at Landover Baptist Church encourage everyone to read the Holy Bible, not just the familiar, happy parts. Why, when the LORD commanded Moses or Joshua or any of His mighty generals to send forth his soldiers to kill and destroy, rape and pillage (Numbers 31:7-18; Judges 21:10-24; Deuteronomy 20:10-14), there was nothing about these battles that didn't embody the very essence of a Loving God! It's not like the ladies weren't pampered with a hair cut, manicure, and probably a gentle massage before her new husband/captor would take her and lovingly consummate their marriage (Deuteronomy 21:10-14).
