Perhaps my views as a Canadian are different but you have your self proved that white peoiple are tense and awkward around people of minority. Look at american news it treats the election as something special because and African-American is running along with a women. In a predominately white country the news reflects the population and since the news is so concerned with sex and race as an issue it shows that white americans are typically put off by minorities, especially those in the spot light. Obama, Clinton they should recieve no more attention then if they we're white men, that would prove that you treat everyone as equals.
