Hmm, from what I remember when I learned from some rebellious teenage Satanist when I held a public burning of Slayer records is that Tom is a Catholic. Catholics are not Christians.
Matthew 23:8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.
Matthew 23:9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

The problem with Slayer is that they are a derivative and boring bit of dated tripe long past their 'best before date'.
Even Exciter have more 'carry forward' relevance than Slayer (and a much better guitar player).
Think Pantera just after they gave up Glam and tights (and copped Exciter).
I suggest avoiding the 'more notes is better' school of badly aging hair-bands and recommend something where actual melody and audible vocals are given a premium view in the production.

EXCELENT TASTE! BRAVO!
Reverendo, my country is a "painter land" but also has a very rich opera culture (Kraus, Domingo, Carreras, Caballé, Fleta, Lázaro, thousands) and i my father keeps the tradition giving me a high knowledge about classic music.
Well, you are 100% right about, they play in another league and the proof is Messiah (HWV 56):
It helps me to pray when i am nervous, it is super effective.
Let me share a hidden Christian treasure. My father was his friend and told that he had in mind a Sacred Opera. But God wants him near too soon, to play it in the piano for sure.
Smoth and amazing tempis, i hope you like it.

I hope you all like my music once my demo is finished! My music is in the same vein as one of Pastor Ezekiel's favorite singers.
Generally, I'd like to throw it out there... the style of the music doesn't matter. Any good Christian can plug in an electric guitar and make (almost) any kind of music he or she wants.
What REALLY matters is the message of the music.
To answer TC's question, the "right" music to listen to is the music that preaches God's word. I think it's important that kids today have catchy and fun music to listen to. I am a huge advocate of musical creativity and using the gifts that God has given us. How wrong would it be for us to not use them to spread His word in a way that is appealing to impressionable teens? Too many of them are wayward, listening to 50 Cent, a man who has been shot so many times and should be dead. He has obviously made a deal with Satan to live.
The trick is not to be duped by bands who claim to be Christian but are not. Creed is a perfect example of a heathen group.

Good music should avoid jungle rhythms that serve only to get young ones worked up so much that they end up fornicating. Here's a great example of the kind of fun and catchy tunes that youngsters should be listening to!

Sister Mary Maria, I must say I did enjoy that. My style is a bit different, though. I can't play piano! I do hope you end up enjoying my music, anyway!

It's a shame that nobody has mentioned this great Gospel classic. Why, those poor boys are so blind they couldn't even count the number of their members.

Silence
Trying to fathom the distance
Looking out 'cross the canyon carved
By my hands
God is gracious
Sin would still separate us
Were it not for the bridge His grace
Has made us
His love will carry me
(Chorus)
There's a bridge to cross the great divide
A way was made to reach the other side
The mercy of the Father, cost His son
His life
His love is deep, His love is wide
There's a cross to bridge the great divide
God is faithful
On my own I'm unable
He found me hopeless, alone and
Sent a Savior
He's provided a path a promised
To guide us
Safely past all the sin that would divide us
His love delivers me
(Repeat Chorus)
The cross that cost my Lord His life
Has given me mine
There's a bridge to cross the great divide
There's a cross to bridge the great divide
(Repeat Chorus)

I think it's appropriate that the album title refers to the fact that their blindness affects these singers' navigation.
Of course they're lost. They're blind!
However, the album advertises five blind boys, but I only see four. What a rip-off. Maybe the last one got lost on the way to the photo shoot.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

You all know that I'm not one for the jungle music, as it hottens up the blood. But I have to say that these boys impressed me with their Christian message.
Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:
Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

Does this count as True Christian music? I genuinely can't tell. The music sounds a little too "modern" for my ears, but the title is an excellently Christian reference to Luke 14:26, and the accompanying video seems to bear out the message of Job 20:15 and Proverbs 23:7-8. What do you make of it?
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.
God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.
