"Submit", Dictionary definition:
Quote:
accept or yield to a superior force or to the authority or will of another person.
|
Let us now look at some verses of the Bible: - 1 Peter 3:1-22 - Likewise, ye wives, [be] in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;
- Ephesians 5:22-24 - Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
- Colossians 3:18 - Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.
No excuses. If there is violence, it is obviously not nice but it is no excuse NOT to submit. I was trying to give you an analogy here. Many people understand them. Jesus is going to demolish this Earth very soon causing famine, war, mass death, open sores, painful poisonous stings, loss of drinking water. He does this because it is the ultimate test to winnow out those who follow Him whatever. The same goes on on a smaller scale in every family. No excuses. Bruises are not a reason to quit a marriage. By analogy, having Jesus kill of one third of humankind during the soon-to-be-realized Tribulations (Revelations 9:18) is no excuse to follow Him.
This was the analogy. That is why I was curious about your eschatological thoughts. Please let go of your biases and your indoctrination and Read the Bible as if you were doing it the first time ever.
Yours in Christ,
Elmer

Why would you want to refer to scripture? Surely we just know Jesus within our hearts. Some people just try to tell me I am listening to my own internal voice and acting like Jesus is inside me to sound more authoritative but it's obvious that can't be true because everything Jesus tells me is right is exactly the same thing Jesus tells you is right. Isn't that so?
For example, we both agree that women aren't servants of men and they are much better than men and we both agree that Jesus just wants us to have sex with men for procreation as a necessary evil but for loving relationships other women are far superior. He says it to me so clearly!
Proverbs 31:26 She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.

Scripture tells us women are created to be help meet to our husbands (Genesis 2:18), and that not only will we like it, but it is in our husband's nature to rule over us (Genesis 3:16). A True Christian™ woman doesn't look for loopholes and excuses, but embraces her nature. This is Jesus' wish, that we don't complain, but accept what we are, and go forth and serve Him in whatever capacity He designed us (Romans 9:21-23). And, being the merciful Lord He is, even against the backdrop of our sinful, devious, untrustworthy natures, Jesus has miraculously deigned to give women hope for Salvation, should they not fail (1 Timothy 2:14-15)!

If the ex-Mrs. Rob Porter had honored the Holy Scripture, maybe one more hard-working man wouldn't be out of a job.

Rob's first wife explained all of this in a very understandable way. She said all the "issues" were in the home, behind closed doors and not out in the public.
That is where everything should have stayed, behind closed doors. If it were not out in the public he would still be a loyal employee of the President. Shame of both ex wives for talking about it.

Amem, Brother Mayor! That point is exactly what President Trump has been attempting to communicate with the half-witted press.
But since everything he says is way over their heads, they think that he's the bad guy somehow for telling women to stay in the place that Jesus intended and to keep their marriage vows sacred by not blabbing about their husbands' efforts to keep order in their homes.
Remember when General Kelly said women were sacred? That's because they were created to be the helpmeets of men in sacred marriage. The moment they blow that gig, they've de-sanctified themselves.
Marriage will mean nothing if women don't submit to their husbands in every way and shut up about it!

Abuse? What abuse!?
So what, I have to cover up a black eye or two, I'd consider it even worse abuse if Mr. Moans didn't smack me about whenever I screw up. As a woman, it's in my nature that I am a highly flawed creature, and I need physical correction to set my kinks straight!
Hebrews 12:11
Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

Dear Brothersand Sisters in Christ,
I have aproblem with the heading of this topic: Wives!! Stay in your abusive marriage!!As I see it, the role of a woman is expressed very clearly in Ephesians 5:22-24:
“Wives, obeyyour husbands as you obey the Lord. The husband is the head of the wife, justas Christ is the head of the church people. The church is his body and he savedit. Wives should obey their husbands in everything, just as the church peopleobey Christ.”
However, Ephesians5:25 say:
“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church people. He gave his life forthe church.”
If you love aperson, you do not abuse her. If you, as the Head of the household, abuse her, then you do not just wrong her but also God.
That said, Ido not think that a wife should divorce or leave her husband (unless there is areal danger that he might seriously injure her or kill her). After all, in herwedding vows she did promise to “love, honour and obey”… “for better for worse”.Abuse is definitely “for worse”, but she promised to stay with him also duringthose periods of life. What she should do is pray. What her congregationspreacher and members can do is to try to talk with the husband, explaining tohim his responsibilities as a good Christian husband.
Abuse is notok. A man who abuses his wife is failing his duty as a good Christian husband. However, domestic discipline is NOT abuse. We women are by nature irrational, emotional, unreasonable, sinful, illogical, moody, bitchy, stubborn, pridefuland often generally “difficult”. We start arguments for no reason and we oftendo stupid decisions. The Good Book is very clear in the fact that men aresuperior to women. So, there is no doubt that when we get one of our tantrumsthe best “medicine” is a good spanking or a good trashing with our husbandsbelt on our bare buttocks, humbling us through our screams, crying and pain. Inother words, a good deserved beating is not abuse, but something that every manshould give his wife when needed. It is for her own best and necessary for aharmonic family life.
SincerelyYours,
Sister Kirsi

Thank you, Mrs. Kirsi, for posting. If you have not already done so please go to the thread for new posters and introduce yourself.
As to you view that if you love a person you do not abuse her, that is not always true. Have you heard the term, "tough love?" That is what some husbands are practicing when to get physical with their wive. It is an expression of how much they want her to improve in the eyes of both her loving husband and Jesus.
