An apology - I Looked at the Pictures in the Bible and I Think I Like it. -
05-07-2012, 12:12 PM
I have spent some time thinking at I do see that I need Jesus in my life. I've started try to read the bible and skimmed through it and this caught my eye.
1 Timothy 4: Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
I would like to be part of this effort to raise awareness of the true meaning of Christianity if you will let me try.

As you may know from your skimming, God loves a repentant but hates a liar, which are you? Before you answer I would refer you to some of your previous comments:
'It's no wonder I trolled you good'.
'this is obviously not the place for me'.
'They think the bible is true. Normal people don't. The only reason to stay is to troll like me'
'I'm an athiest who does not beleive in god and I don't know why anyone would'.
If you are truly repentant then we will work hard for your Salvation™, if you are not save us the time and trouble and clear off.
Revelation 3:19
As many as I loue, I rebuke and chasten, be zealous therefore, and REPENT.
John 8:44
When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his owne: for he is a LIAR, and the father of it.
All the best
Genesis 7:5
And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him.
John 8:32
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Friend, spitting in the eyes of God is rarely an accident. You should not be apologizing to us rather wiping the Face of God© and begging for His forgiveness. I will tell you, had you done what you did to me, I would of spit right back with the hot lead from my HK 9mm. I am a tolerant man except when attacked in any manner or I see something I do not like. God instructs us to take care.
2 Peter 3:9
9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Romans 13:4
4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
Proverbs 6:16-17
16 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Friend, there is nothing that would make us happier than to count you among our number as a repentant, Saved™ individual who has thrown off his self-fornicating, marxist, monkey-worshipping ways to stand hand-in-hand with the righteous who pride themselves in giving the homers, the abortionists, and the eco-pagans of the world what they have coming...
"Though hand join in hand, the wicked will not be unpunished." (Proverbs 11:21)
That is, ASSUMING you are sincere (time - and Jesus! - will tell).

I have done a lot is soul searching and I hope I will be worthy of Jesus's forgiveness.
I fully intend to devote my life to Jesus and will not be going to uni this year as I want to Become an active part of the south street baptist church.
This will take a lot of my time but I will bend over backwards to be a devoted member of the baptist movement.

Hmm you have a lot of work to do. Do you have a favourite Bible verse yet? One that inspires you?
The one inspiring me today is:
Deuteronomy 21:22
And if a man haue committed a sinne worthy of DEATH, and he be to be put to DEATH, and thou hang him on a tree:
Genesis 7:5
And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him.
John 8:32
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

I hope you do spread wide to accept the Turgid Love of God. Kneel prostrate at His feet, letting His Joy fill your soul.
Remember friend, nothing feels better than knowing Jesus has your back.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?

Calm down Brother Laurence,
Please remember:
Luke 15:10
Likewise I say vnto you, there is ioy in the presence of the Angels of God, ouer one SINNER that repenteth.
The Negress has stopped her poetry and is doing well in her attempt at Salvation™.
Maybe, just maybe, this girl has also truly seen the Light - we shall see. But I agree any signs of poetry and it's straight on the short bus to Hell.

Have I been reading the wrong Bible?? My King James 1611 Bible does not have pictures. I hope that I haven't been studying the wrong Bible -- I thought I was safe with the "Approved by Landover Department of Security for General Salvation Purposes (1991)" stamp, but perhaps that is a forgery? Can anyone help me out here?

Why is Noah standing at the tiller? I don't remember the Ark having any means of propulsion (no sails or engine) so no movement = no steering control = no point to having a rudder at all.
(I am overlooking the fact that the sternpost rudder was a medieval invention - watercraft of Noah's time would have used a quarter rudder or plain steering paddle)

Usual dumb atheist rubbish. That's the front of the boat (in technical terms the 'pointy end'), you can tell by the waves crashing into the front causing a bow wave.
That's not a tiller, there was no need for one as God guided the Ark, it's actually a flagpole which doubled up as somewhere for his doves to sit. And before you ask, no Noah didn't have a flag, he ran out of time to get his wife to make one because she was too busy chasing animals - especially the fast ones.
Do I have to explain everything? :exasperation:

I do want to try and I will do the best I can.
I write poetry but don't know what that has to do with God. It seems I must not interpret the Bible but read it as literal. Poetry is about emotions and expression (which I'm good at) and I may write some later.
What can I do to prove myself?

You might do well to take some classes part-time. I'd strongly recommend an English courst.
You haven't yet figured out that verbs ("become") are not capitalized, while proper nouns ("Baptist", "South Street Baptist Church") are, because they are proper nouns.

Read the Bible.
Not skim. Read.
Here's what I recommend you do. Set for yourself a goal of reading the book of Genesis this week.
As you read each story (Genesis is mostly stories), keep a notebook handy. Write down a brief overview of the story and where it is. Just a sentence or two; for example, "Noah's Ark, Genesis 6-8, God drowns all people (even unborn babies) and animals because the adult people won't obey Him."
Then, and this is the most important part, write down what the story tells you about God. Personality traits, what things He values in people, that sort of thing.
Friend, I promise that by the time you finish Genesis, you will have a far deeper understanding of who God is than you do today, and you will finally realize why we are so angered by the warm fuzzy "all-loving" lies fed to congregations by false Christian preachers.
You can share what you've learned here in this thread once you've finished Genesis.
If reading the Bible by yourself seems daunting, check out the links in my signature for some great resources to help you get started.

If you think I should take an English courst, then of courst I should.
I've been poking around the site and it seems that God has some laws and we need to abey them and if we don't we will go to Hell.
Does that mean we it is okay to be gay as long as you don't do gay sexual activity?
