I am The Truth of the Matter. -
04-29-2013, 02:46 AM
My name is Carol Arends.
I am 47, married, and have 3 children, two boys in high school and a girl in middle school. My husband works at a law firm representing churches and I stay at home raising our children and minding our home.
I attend a small baptist church in Florida.
While searching online for churches, I came across this website and read some of the godly messages the devoted members of this church have posted to bring people closer to the real god- our God.
I have been a member of a church- but never a Catholic one- since I was 9 days old. I was raised strictly in North Carolina by my two parents who followed the Bible word for word, the way it should be.
My favorite Bible verse is 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 - Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
It is truly wonderful to be able to consult with my fellow followers of Christ and to be able to share our knowledge.
I look forward to sharing our knowledge of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the time to come.

Well welcome to Landover Mrs. Truth! Although I have to ask, are you paraphrasing that scripture there? Because that's not what my KJV Bible says.
Other than that, hello!
But he answered and said, it is not right to take the children's bread and cast it to the dogs. (Matthew 15:26)

Hello Mrs. Arends, and welcome to our friendly forums! You sound like a very capable mother, I'm sure many young mothers will be blessed with your wise counsel (Titus 2:4).
Mrs. Puckett makes an interesting point. You may have been a member of churches since your 9th year, but if those churches have not taught the importance of trusting the Word of God to the Right Bible, you have been taken advantage of, indeed. I do hope you and Mr. Arends consider prayerfully the importance of reading God's actual Holy Word, as revealed in the King James Version Bible, and not some modern day After School Special version.
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Hi Carol!
When you say you have "two boys in high school and a girl in middle school" do you mean to tell me you are sending your children to a public school?
Do you know that if children are caught praying (even silently) at a public school they are automatically expelled? You really should homeschool them.
Yours in Christ,
Z. Smyth

That's true. I was lost to Jesus and his Holy Word when I was thrown into the public school system. If my husband Johnathan hadn't plucked me from those awful clutches of Texas City High, and made a proper wife out of me, I'd surely be on a quick path to Hell like my mother.
Get those kids homeschooled and the girl married! You do seem like a well-to-do mother, so it surprises me that they are IN public school!
But he answered and said, it is not right to take the children's bread and cast it to the dogs. (Matthew 15:26)

Thank you Mrs. Puckett and Mrs. Elthedreda. You make an excellent point. My aunt was visiting, and my husband was using my Bible because he had left his at his Bible study class. I had to borrow my aunt's good-for-nothing modern version. This is the real version of the verse:
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
On the topic of homeschooling, my husband and I homeschooled our children during elementary school. However, an important part of Christianity is being able to repent and reject evil, so we allow them to go to a public school for middle school and one year of high school. This way, they will be able to repent evil when they leave the home. My husband has done extensive research and has ensured that our children are going to the schools with the least crime and violence rate and with the best education programs in the county. We have warned our children about the state's unholy and abhorrent rules against praying in school.
Thank you very much for your concern. I apologize for not clarifying.

Nice to meet. you. I do not recall your husband, please have him contact me via the LBC Church office. Miss Cookie will put him though to me on my sat phone, I am out of the country for the next few days.
Through knowledge of Christ, all things are possible.,
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Welcome to our Godly forums, Mrs. Arends. Why don't you homeschool your children? If you raise your children right with no disractions they won't go astray when they are older (Proverbs 22: 6). Your daughter is in middle school you say? Soon she'll be married, that's another problem with secular schools, they don't teach girls how to be a good True Christian wife and mother. Just my advice.

Mary Thompson.

Ahhh, doesn't that just roll off the tongue! And, it just sounds so much more holy with the thee's and thou's! I can no more visualize Jesus speaking with modern pronouns than I can visualize Jesus wearing the modern look of pants hanging down to show off his undershorts.

If the LORD called your children to be the salt and light to a desert land that is public schools, then He will equip them for such a mission field. Stay strong, Mrs. Arends!

Both Mrs. Etheldreda and Mrs. Puckett make excellent points.
There is no use in reading the bible if you are not reading the correct one - KJV 1611.
The other versions of the Bible are simply paraphrased versions where the whole point is not made.
For instance, in one passage, the modern translation compares God to WATER of all things.

Jesus wept.
The Holy Bible becomes so much more glorious when God does the talking, and not so-called "modern scholars." Besides, a far more appropriate comparison is Jesus to a hen (Matthew 23:37).

How absolutely disgusting that someone would compare Jesus to a hen, and in one of the Holy Gospels as well.
I have a question. My daughter is 13 years old. According to the unholy secular law, she cannot leave school until she is 16. We live in Florida, so it is only a couple hours drive to Georgia, where you can get married if you are 16 and pregnant.
Should my husband and I start looking for men to marry her off, or should we wait until she is allowed to get married legally at 16?
I am not familiar with the marrying off of women at a young age because I was not married until I was 26 due to my mother being bedridden due to an injured hip, so my father told me I could not get married until my mother was better.
Please give me any information you can so that my husband and I can marry off our daughter in the correct biblical way.
Yours in Christ,
Carol Arends

Brother Hutchins does not wish to come across as intrusive; his only wish is that you and your family do not spend an eternity being anally raped by satan and his minions. Brother Hutchins is a good man.
May I ask... has your husband given you permission to be on these boards proclaiming your own opinion? You are a woman after all and your thoughts (at best) are tainted and full of a woman's leaning to inappropriate gossip and useless information.
Welcome to Landover by the way.

How can you be 47 and still only have 2 sons?
Freedom means voting for Donald Trump!
To most "Christians" The Bible is like a license agreement. They just scroll to the bottom and click "I agree". All those "Christians" will burn in Hell!

Please, call me Brother sister. No need for formalities.
Why do you only have two children at age 47. You should have at least 12 to 13 easily. Were you wounded somehow in giving birth?

Brother:
I have three children, although only two of them are boys.
I had a problem giving birth with my youngest, so it was difficult for me to become impregnated.
The Lord has blessed me in that I am now pregnant with twin boys, and my husband and I plan on having many more children if it is the Lord's will.
Yours in Christ,
Mrs. Carol Arends
