I understand it's a practice of old gypsy gardeners. They take your garden soil, and make tea from it. Then you have to drink the tea. Finally, they "read" the dirt left in the bottom of your cup.
Disgusting.
Bible boring? Nonsense!
Try Bible in a Year with Brother V, or join Shirlee and the kids as they discuss Real Bible Stories!

Exactly. You can't. I'd rather read nothing than read the most boring book in existence today (It's the bible, for those of you who have no brains)

Boring? BORING? You're full of baloney, my friend.
First of all, the Bible is the best-selling book of all time.
OF ALL TIME.
Second, it has stories like this one:
(2 Kings 2:23-24) "And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them."
That's right, some jackass kids (42, to be exact) called a guy "bald head" and God sent two bears to KILL THEM!!!
The Bible is filled with inspirational (and exciting!) stories like that.
Yours in Christ,
Z. Smyth

Actually, no. Only 6 books sold more than a 100 million copies and your precious bible is no where among them.
If that's what you call inspirational, I'd hate to see what you find horrible.

Ridiculous! Of course they did, They didn't go around shouting, "Hey! You with the fine head of hair." They knew exactly how to anger a prophet of The Lord.
The children would all have been taught:
Le:19:32: Thou shalt rise up before the hoary head, and honour the face of the old man, and fear thy God: I am the LORD.
La:4:16: The anger of the LORD hath divided them; he will no more regard them: they respected not the persons of the priests, they favoured not the elders.
1Tm:5:17: Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.
1Tm:5:19: Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses.
It is a lesson to us all.

You seem to think children know these things. Let me tell you something. They. Do. Not. Care. About. God. Or. Jesus. They couldn't care less. They live life like it should be lived, and sadly, people loose their childhood when they grow up.

You trust Wickedpedia? Use it as a source on your next term paper.
As far as what I find horrible...I reckon the most horrible thing in the world is when people are exposed to the Pure Love of Our Lord Jesus Christ and continue sinning.
(Hebrews 10:26) "For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins."

The Bible (KJV1611) is indeed the best selling book of all time – and here are two references (for the dim witted).
http://entertainment.howstuffworks.c...f-all-time.htm
http://www.booksellerworld.com/bests...-booksever.htm
The Bible (KJV1611) is action-adventure, drama, comedy, all non-fiction, and the Word of God all rolled into one – and the sales figure prove it.
Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.
...and get off my lawn

Yes, this is a great tradition. God kills some hopeless sinners in order to let the survivors learn a valuable lesson. What of it?

There's nothing wrong with it It's more informative than some book that crazies like you trust for no reason.

Action? Maybe, but it's only horror action.
Adventure? That is highly doubtful.
Drama? Definitely. And it's the worst kind of drama. The drama that doesn't make any sense, and is just there to be there.
Comedy? Don't make me laugh, there's no bit of comedy in the bible, unless you count the utter horribleness of it, which is funny.
Non-fiction? Where's the proof that it's not fiction?
The Word of God? It doesn't exist. It's just something to help idiots like you sleep at night.

God did it so it is great by definition.
By "be themselves" you of course mean, "recklessly and wilfully breaking God's commandments."
You non-believers are kinda dense, no?

God did it, so it's not factual by definition.
And no, I mean they did what every kid does. Without caring, because they don't know what they're doing.
And you're the one's who are dense, believing in some mystical being that you have no proof of.

Are you suggesting people would make a tale like this or The Flood up? Why would you do that?
