I needed a larger print King James 1611 to use on my PC workstation. (having to shuttle the family Blessed Book around the house was disrupting Bible Study Time for the rest of the clan)

So I was in the vicinity of a Parables store today, I went in, and noticed something peculiar right away.

That store (all of them ??) keep the Bibles in the back, kind of like the 7-11 convenience store keeps the milk and other stuff you really need in the back of their store too, so you have to walk by all their other items.

My gosh !! Parables is full of all manner of ecumenical crap !!!!

Well, I gathered up my new KJV1611 (larger print) and hurried off to the check out, taking care not to be contaminated by all the sort of Godly, kind of Godly, and pretty much totally unGodly crappulence that store is chock a block full of !!

The clerk, looking rather youngish and perhaps a little soft in his Salvation, asked if I would like to be on the mailing list for coupons.


"Coupons ?!?!?!?", I asked, "What would I need them for, the King James is all I or any one else for that matter would ever need !!!"


I just received the deer in the headlight stare from then on, so I concluded my purchase, and hurried back to my truck, with my new, large print, King James 1611 safely freed from that bizarre and disturbing store !!!!

What an odd store! Did the clerk at least try to confirmed your saved status by asking if you've heard the Good News of Jesus Christ's temporary sacrifice for our sins?
From the sounds of things, I'm not surprised they don't have a franchise in Freehold.

Sadly, most "Christian" bookstores are anything but. Some of them even have books of interest to Catholics. LBC's gift shops, by contrast, have a wide selection of King James Bibles prominently displayed, in prices for every tithing level from earthenware to diamond pavé.

I did not want to instigate a major panic, but that store was stocked with all manner of absolute HORRORS !! There were Bibles there in languages other than the Lord's English, and versions other than the King James !!!

I did glance at a book that seemed to have the correct perspective on the evil cult of Mormonism, but it seems that tome was just a pearl amongst the swine.

As I mentioned before, the ecumenical pap was thick throughout the store, and very, very disturbing.

I remember, years ago, a Godly Christan man who was having troubles went to a local 'Christian' bookstore. Well, after being immersed in mostly none True Christian™ bric-a-brac, the man got into his American car, pulled onto the highway, accelerated at full throttle and ran directly into a bridge abutment, killing himself, his lovely wife and their seven children. Just another case of false religions killing good families. Very sad.
