It is a SIN to abandon your pets and leave them to die? -
06-08-2011, 11:01 AM
Hello again friends,
It really is a sin I think really really.
Why are these horrible people even bother getting pets and then they leave them at gas estations and drive away when they grow up too bigs for the house or escratche the furnitures?!?
My sister Paqui came to home yesterday whit a lovely little dog abandoned and whit no microchip on his ear and nearly death from hungryness.
She found it near a gas estation when she and her friend stoped for get petrol in the car. It's very friendly little dog, a little ugly maybe but how can people abandonm their animals?
Is very cruel this and it make me sooooo sad and angry too.
I have a uncle who go hunting whit 'podencos' and at least if a dog of him is too old to hunt or get sick he just shoot it on the head and end the pain fastly - and that (although is cruel) is better than leave it to estrave to death of hungryness.
I think this must be a sin, no?
God say us to look after our animals:
Proverbs 27:23
Be thou diligent to knowe the state of thy flocks, and looke well to thy HERDS.
Now we need a name for him too.
Remember people - look well to your herds (this mean animals in generally, OK?)
and NEVER abandon them!

Animals are for us to do with as we please, including hunting and eating.
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. - Genesis 1:28
GOD gave us dominion over them.
The quote you cite continues in verse 26:
The lambs are for thy clothing, and the goats are the price of the field.
And verse 27:
And thou shalt have goats' milk enough for thy food, for the food of thy household, and for the maintenance for thy maidens.
It is advice to plan ahead by taking good care of your herds so you will have clothes to wear and food to eat. This is not to be taken as contrary to what CHRIST said when he admonished us not to worry about such things:
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? - Matthew 6:31
So you see, senorita, your selected Bible verse has nothing to do with pets but with raising one's own food and clothing.

You know what is a sin, Maria? Stealing someone else's dog. Tsk, tsk.

well, alot of people who live near me are always just droppin they unwanted pets in my yard, cause theys know I'm gonna take the little critters in? I must have over 50 cats, and rabbits and oppsums. I don't mind too much, whens they die, I just boil em up for supper. That way they is always a part of me. People shouldnt just abandon good meat like that! so, yeah, i guess it IS a sin. I just find it wasteful.
Genesis 1:24
And God said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind: and it was so."

But is still a animal what God have gived us no?
So therefore is like all the rests of animals God have gived us dominion of, herds, cows, ducks, kangasaurus, sheeps, deers, fishes, salmons, giraffes, chihuahuas, monkeys, goats etc, no?
I mean the Bible verse isn't look so especific.
Forgive me if I'm no correct here. (But I'm sure I am)
But thank for try help whit the observation.
