There was a time where I used to listen to rock and only rock music, I have to admit it was a pretty dark part of my life and I was never in touch with God during this time.

I'm new here. To be entirely honest I can't tell wether or not some of the stuff on here is troll or not, but I don't care too much.

Just wondering what your thoughts are on "Christian Rock"

However in this case I'd like to clarify that I mean rock music. Not rock culture. I know as well as you do that the culture of rock can be sketchy, I'm not here to argue that. However, in this context, "rock" refers to hymms/songs done using drums, bass/electric/acoustic guitars, keyboards and the like. Generally (but not nessecarily) quite upbeat.

Personally I find this a really good way to worship our great God, and much easier to get heaps passionate about. Going through the lyrics, they clearly glorify God.

I don't have any "thoughts" about Christian rock. None are necessary. Rock music is satanic. The expression "Rock" or "Rock & Roll" or "Jazz" or "Boogiewoogie" all mean the same thing:

That covers most of the instruments in a modern orchestra or indeed rock band. Musicians probably discuss exactly what a psaltery is but if we allow that it belongs to the zither family, which includes dulcimers and therefore pianos (a sort of mechanised dulcimer), and that the timbrel sometimes had a drum skin stretched across it (like a tambourine) it's all there. Except woodwinds - but they are mentioned elsewhere.

It's not the instruments. It's what's played on them (except synthesizers programmed with post hypnotic subliminal voice samples). Nothing named after what goes on in a crackhouse has anything to do with God. Satan is the pioneer in that department and ALWAYS chooses appropriate names for his cacophony all the way from Ragtime (brothel music, I don't need to specify further) to Dubstep.

Of course Bible will not go into such detail, to name every single person burnt in hell so it would cover your friends and family. What Bible is clear about is that people are tormented when Jesus is about and He will laugh at their suffering.
