With all the good sense Brother Perry speaks, I have a hard time believing he's
really a Methodist.

Why, Paint Creek is just a short distance from Piggett (one or two hundred miles or so... short by Texas standards)! Good people there.
Real Americans.
One thing you have to understand about Texas is that there's lots of queers and libs in Austin. In fact, Demoncrats pretty much ran the whole shootin' match up until Godly George W. Bush saddled up and took the reins. We're still working to take our state back much like we're working to take our country back on the national level. (And if that doesn't work, we'll just secede.)
Besides, Gov. Perry appointed one of the Godliest men I know to Chair of the State Board of Education -
Brother Don McLeroy - who has tirelessly
borne the cross for True Christians™ in the field of education. Why, if things continue like this, it might even be safe to send our kid to public schools in the Lonestar State! It's already safe in Piggett, but we're usually ahead of the curve out here.
And besides... who are our alternatives? A Mormon? I'll admit, if Huckabee enters the fray, then perhaps Perry should step to the side and be vice president. Barring such a glorious happenstance, though, I can think of no better President than another Texan Governor!
