We're trying to find a good faith dentist... -
05-01-2011, 02:15 AM
As with everyone else here (who is Saved in Christ), we of course eschew the quackery that is "medical science" in favor of REAL medical treatment through faith healers as God commands.
Psalm 103:2-3 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases
James 5:14-16 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up;
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
It just makes sense to me that this applies to dentistry as well, so my husband, Mr. Whitford, and I are wondering if anyone knows of any good faith dentists in the Freehold area, or will we have to go all the way to Des Moines?

I understand your struggle, sister.
When I was a child I developed a nasty cavity and my parents, fearing that I should be corrupted by science and worldliness, refused to take me to any dentist whose first solution was not to pray it away. Fortunately, GOD was merciful and the tooth rotted and fell out without any serious complications, PRAISE HIM!
An ideal True Christian dentist devotes his career to perfecting orthodontic prayers to beseech GOD to cure the victim of whatever is ailing his teeth.
I don't understand why more dentists don't pursue this school of medicine, as simply devoting themselves to praying and reading scripture could save them a lot of time and money going to school and buying medical supplies.
I will pray for your search!

I doubt most of you will remember Dr Eberhardt Grausammer. He left for Argentina suddenly in the early 50s. (There was a lot of fuss, even the CIA came looking for him.) He was a man of Great Faith and expected his patients to be so too. To him, anesthetics were the work of Satan. He argued that Jesus never used them for all pain on earth was necessary that we might perceive what Paradise might be like.
As part of my spiritual education, my father used to take me there (although he preferred to use Dr Morganstern, whom, he said, he had hopes of converting.) I can still hear the whine of the drill, smell the burning and the experience certainly left me with visions of The Flame That Never Dies, for which I am grateful.
I’ll ask Mrs Bathfire if she knows anyone. There’s bound to be a good Faith Dentist in Des Moines.

I have often wondered significance of Argentina for God. Seem like many great healers and philanthropists sought residence in Argentina at 50s.
There was man of great faith that worked in refugee camps in Germany, so great was his ability to heal that even joos called him as angel. For some reason Dr. Wolfgang Gerhard left Germany late 40s and moved to, you guessed it, Argentina. He lived there happily helping people until the end of his days.

Yeah, let's see if you have that kind of mentality after receiving cancer. Since you are taking this passage literally without thinking, then why do you need a dentist? If fervent prayer with members of a congregation may heal you, then there's no need to opt for this quackery of a medicine. Rofl.
Psalm 139:21-22
Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?
I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.

First, who said I personally need a dentist?
Second, if God chooses to test me with cancer, I will pray and seek to have it cured through the power of faith.

Well if someone has a bad tooth shouldn't you whack them across the mouth with a good solid KJV 1611 Bible until the tooth is either healed or flies across the room? Besides, isn't a bad tooth or anything like that a sign of demon possession according to your church?

Where does it say that in the Holy Bible?
Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:
Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

It's probably in Alexandra's little mass-market paperback "Book of Shadowz".

So many people of little Faith, whilst rusting God, through prayer, to cure them of vile afflictions of the body take little heed of Jesus’ Last Words on Earth, “Mark:16:18: They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” when it comes to dentistry.
Was it not Dionysius who told us this inspiring story, "At that time Apollonia, a virgin, was held in high esteem. These men seized her also and by repeated blows broke all her teeth. They then erected outside the city gates a pile of fagots and threatened to burn her alive if she refused to repeat after them impious words (either a blasphemy against Christ, or an invocation of the heathen gods). Given, at her own request, a little freedom, she sprang quickly into the fire, but miraculously the fire did not do harm her. She ended up decapitated."
God dearly loved Apollonia (who, many Biblical Scholars believe, was a Baptist) and miraculously saved her by giving her a place in Heaven. Some ungrateful cynics say that He could have replaced her teeth first, but instead cured her in Heaven (so as to prevent horrible Catholics using her skull as a relic.) These cynics want everything NOW! This is unreasonable when God’s Days are like 1,000 years – “Now” to Him might be a 50 or 60 years.
Let us look how Jesus’ last words are meant to be read:
1Co:15:42: So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
1Co:15:43: […] There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
[…]
1Co:15:50: Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
[…]
1Co:15:52: In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
So do look for a dentist who prays for miraculous cures for cavities and when God inspires you with the name of one, let Mrs Whitford know.

I'd look for a Dr. Matthew
For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 25:29-30).
Rev 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
