Introverts are Satan's Puppets! -

I know a lot of people who would describe themselves as "introverts." It seems to be especially popular of late with all the "self care" talk for people with mental illnesses like OCD, being gay, or having endometriosis. Like all illnesses, the root is Sin (James 5:15). Jesus can knock that fear of social interaction right out of your head like He knocked Paul off his horse, but only when you recognize His clear commands for your head and heart.
Your fears of intimacy, noise, and social obligations can be whisked away by daily giving your heart to Jesus and not entertaining the lies of Satan. Commune with Him (Jesus, not Satan) in Constant Prayer (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Be aware of His Holy Presence and Involvement around you (Psalm 139:7-10). When those temptations to be withdrawn and bask in the silence of a cozy corner of your own home tug at you - Repent! Recognize your selfishness and confess to Christ!
Too many people who call themselves Christians are all too comfortable with the notion that Salvation is about them. Poppycock! God's purpose is not about you, even if it may include you. This idea is rebuked in Isaiah 48:9. Your life is not your own (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
Many feel the Gospel need only be intentionally spread by those with the "gift" of evangelism. Jesus has quite a different view. He has given us the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20), and instructs us all to do the work. All of us. Even those who would rather sit at home in peace and quiet and read a good book, or do cross stitch, or play games with their children.
Introversion is simply rebellion against God! It is to tell Jesus you don't want to follow His command and save souls. It is to tell Jesus that like Jonah, you'd much rather hide like a coward (Jonah 1:1-3).
Luke 6:22 tells us that because we preach the True Doctrine of Jesus Christ, men shall hate us and call us evil. So naturally, we expect that folks will get their feathers ruffled by some of the things True Christians™ have to say. Say them anyway. Ignore these responses and instead dig into the Word of God and you too will believe that finding comfort in doing nothing is indeed a sin!
Glory!
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.
