I listen to good old country music because I'm a country girl. And no I don't think highly of myself. As far as Judging Mr. (or is it really Ms.???) Way, here is what the Bible says:

Someone who actually makes sense and isn't totally judge mental for something as stupid as liking a certain music group. These people attacked me for liking My Chemical Romance and telling them that this is bull. They really don't care, they will do anything to make you feel bad because these so called "adults" have nothing better to do then ridicule children over the internet for their choice of music. They're totally losing sight of how God wants us to love everyone and just go around condemning everyone. Young man, you are somewhat confused about your encounter with Christians, that is clear. Let me help.

When a Christian points out and rebukes sin, it is not out of hatred of the sinner, it is out of love for that sinner and out of the hope that he may be brought to Jesus. This is our work as Christians as the Lord has commanded. It is God who hates you, not Christians. We want you to change sides and come to Jesus, thereby gaining God's love and avoiding the searing flames of perdition.

Also, that same rebuke for sin is not a judgement. Judgement is the work of the Lord. God has made the rules and we know them. The work of a Christian is to point out to you that you are not in compliance with God's Word, that you are sinning and that you are going to Hell. We do not judge you. We only try to get you off the road to Hell. It is the Lord who will send you to Hell.

I want to follow up on this because it's such an important point.

If you had brothers and sisters, remember when you'd all be playing in the house and one would keep watch at the window, or listen to hear Mom or Dads car in the driveway?

That's kind of what we all do here. We look out for each other and try to keep God™ from killing us. So when someone says, "Put that down, you stupid butterfingers, Mom/God™ will kill you if it breaks," it's not so much a "rebuke, as it is just a Brother or sister in Christ™ looking out for you.

Dare I suggest you might even consider saying Thank You ?

You can suggest it if you want but I refuse to thank someone who has done nothing for me. What you were doing was not "pointing out the sin" for our well being. Being emo is not a sin, neither is listening to certain types of music. Music is not a drug, not even close, and to many (myself included) it provides better refuge than religion or a make believe god.
