The Reprobate Mind: Both the CAUSE and EFFECT of Choosing Homer Lifestyles

Each of us True Christians™ has been blessed with a perfect mind. Our sleep comes easily because we know our souls are bound for Heaven and our sins forgiven. (1 John 1:9, Hebrews 7:20-28). We do not have to worry about this or that; we simply turn to Christ and all things are then in His Hands (Proverbs 3:5-6). Yes, we find perfect peace because we constantly have the Lord in mind, no matter what we are doing (Isaiah 26:3).

This might come easily for adults, but brethren, in these vile times we must remember what it was like to be young and full of ourselves. I’m sure all of us – particularly boys – kept stashes of pornography and petroleum jelly under our beds or in an old cardboard box in the closet covered with blankets and fishing gear. I’m sure we all sat at the window, staring into the apartment across the way where young Jenny Overstreet undressed at 9:18 every evening, then sat at the vanity mirror brushing her auburn locks for ten minutes clad only in undergarments. And which of us did not fantasize about 3rd grade teacher Delores Parmesani, her flowing dark hair accenting a full bosom, her short skirts barely covering her nimble, firm legs?

Those days are the days when we must guard our youth all the more fervently. My Catholic parents did not question why I had Vaseline under my bed. My explanation that I had rough, scaly elbows was sufficient for them. Had they inspected my skin, however, they would have found it completely smooth except for the acne that haunted me in my teen years due to excessive self-abuse.
Had my parents guided me in the ways of the Lord, I might not have fallen victim to same-sex attractions at all. As a True Christian™, the Lord removed all those feelings when I accepted Him as my Savior and King. I became a new person in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). But the question remains – did my homer feelings take hold because I was a Catholic? Yes, partially.

But the true reason that God gave me over to those feelings is because I gave my mind to the devil.

The Bible tells us in Romans 1:28 that the Lord, in His Righteous Purity, releases our minds; He removes our conscience because we do not do as He wishes. One of Landover’s most prolific and respected academicians, Dr. Elmer White, wrote in his collaboration with Bob Jones University Professor Lance Bamford, the following explanation of the word “reprobate.” I present the excerpt here:

The reprobate mind is a mind given over to the excesses of this world. It is a mind that has been long filled with lustful and sinful thoughts – thoughts that overshadow the light and truth of God’s Word. In fact, the very word is indicative of a sinful lifestyle. Professor Bamford and I (White) sought the etymology of the word and found the following incredible yet undeniable facts.
First, the first part, “repro” comes from the Old Latin “Reprogamus”, which means “to reframe, to readjust, to realign.” (Chapman, 1863). The context here is important. God then reframes our thoughts because we ignore His thoughts, which are not our thoughts, nor vice versa as the Bible proclaims in Isaiah 55:8-9. Our God is NOT passive aggressive, but He does demand that we completely give ourselves to Him or face the consequences due to His innate jealousy (Exodus 20:5 and others). Next, we explore the latter part of the word: “bate.”
Distinguished Liberty University Professor Emeritus Beaufort Holmes covered this topic in his 1979 treatise, “Onanism in Young Males.” Wrote Holmes: “The fact that young men give themselves self pleasure is well known. My poor wife was often forced to remove crusty socks and soiled linens from our son’s bed after he reached puberty. Before we threw him out of our home when he turned 15 and forced him to attend a military boarding school, countless soldiers of Christ were murdered due to his practice of masturbation. It is from thence that the Lord chose the word reprobate.”
Professor White continues: “It doesn’t take much to see the words masturbate and reprobate are quite similar, but in what way? Yes! It is the first few letters that distinguish them from one another and yet also make them exceptionally connected.
When I masturbate, I make my lust the “mastur” of my mind. Thoughts of other boys fill my mind, making me lust for them incessantly. When I fail to make the LORD master of my mind, which is His desire (and right), He removes Himself from my brain, reframing it – altering it – into a reprogrammed or reprobate mind.”

If God is gone from our thoughts, who, then, is waiting like a roaring lion to enter and possess it? There is no reason to think of any other entity but the devil and his lustful, homer demonic minions. Herein we find the “cause” of a Homer lifestyle. Our minds are no longer protected by the Lord, and we become queer as a three-dollar bill instantly. One only has to think of Brother Harold Porter to get a grasp of where this form of demonic possession leads and the types of immoral behavior that follow.

The “effect” of a reprobate mind, then, are the disgusting acts of same-sex attraction that are permitted to happen since the Lord and His Angels cannot look upon sin (Habakkuk 1:13). Under His watchful eye, we are protected (Psalm 121:5 and others). Oh yes, He COULD look upon us, because God can do anything He wishes to do. But would YOU want to watch someone engaged in a sinful act of lust? Would Dr. Niles want to watch his lithe, nimble nephew, his taut buttocks thrusting and releasing against another young boy’s turgid naughty sword which spews forth seed? I think we all know the answer.
How much less, then, does our Holy, Pure and Righteous Heavenly Father, want to watch a world full of faggotry? I think we know the answer.

The good news – and there is ALWAYS good news with God – is that we can transform. We can change. We can turn away from our sinful nature and have our minds to once again be in tune with the voice of the Holy Ghost. How do we know this? We must only turn to the book of 1 Corinthians, where we read in the 6th chapter, 11th verse that “such WERE some of you, BUT…”
Yes, BUT: we were washed, we were sanctified…BUT, we found JESUS. When we confess our most ugly sins, God remains faithful to cleanse us (see 1 John 1:9, as mentioned earlier). We are a new man in Christ Jesus. No longer do we spend time in the dangerous and deadly sin of Onanism. We instead spend our time focusing on things that help us to grow spiritually (Philippians 4:8).
There may be some skeptics reading this regarding whether self-pleasure is dangerous. I point you to Dr. Elmer White once again, whose knowledge of masturbation far exceeds most men. In 1999, White warns: “Self pleasure has been known to result in painful blistering of the male organ. The deadly germ that causes so-called ‘jock itch’ can be transferred to the hand and then to other parts of the body, creating dangerous and unsightly rashes wherein demonic forces can take refuge. The murder that is caused by spilling the man seed outside the body onto any absorbent (or non-absorbent) surface is not taken lightly by God, who visits this sin upon several generations following (Exodus 20:5). Is onanism dangerous? Yes. Yes it is.”

It seems the choice is yours, friend.

Do you choose to have a sound mind, a body free of acne and unsightly ringworm? Do you choose to have a lifestyle that glorifies God as He demands, or a lifestyle where God says, “OK, you won’t give me validation every second, so I’m taking my ball and going home?” What is your choice, friend?

I ask again, WHAT IS YOUR CHOICE. I know my answer:

Brother, this is sad but true. By my own youthful experimentation I learned more than any man should know about self-abuse and lost quite a few relatively well-payed half-time tenure track jobs at quite reasonable Creation Science Institutes in the process.

I cannot emphasize too much the answer and remedy that I discovered due to the hard work of our Pastors who gathered all together and eventually we were able to beat it in communion. Afterwards I even begat successfully 7 times.
