Darkie Fertility gods -
02-08-2009, 05:51 PM
I would ask you to read the following report, no matter how incredible or ridiculous you think it’s getting.
This is a story of false gods. Imagine the gullible stupidity of anyone who could believe that these jigaboos-carved lumps of wood could have any effect on the Godly Blessing of a child whatsoever! Just think of the ignorance of anyone who would worship such a thing or even go and see them.
As if some “invisible Spirit” lived inside that could answer people’s prayers! This is not Faith, this is pure superstition. This takes the cookie and cookie jar!
Let me remind you before you read this nonsense that there is only One God, The Lord of Hosts, who can grant pregnancies! Ge:17:17: Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear? Ge:18:14: Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son. Ge:21:2: For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.
Now that’s what I call a credible God of fertility!
Anyway, on with the story:
Quote:
Tim O'Brien read aloud excerpts of personal stories sent to Ripley's Entertainment in Nashville, Tenn., regarding its African fertility statues.
The traveling wooden pair have returned to Ripley's Believe It or Not! Odditorium in Myrtle Beach for a free exhibit through March 1. Many women around the world have claimed they conceived after touching the statues, said O'Brien, Ripley's vice president for publishing and communications.
"The anecdotes are very much more than anecdotes," he said. "These ladies tell me life stories."
One woman wrote about having touched the statues, then forgetting about it for months. "On Sept. 10, I found out I was expecting," O'Brien quoted her. "Even though I was on birth control pills, I was still pregnant."
O'Brien said Ripley's does not guarantee anything nor refer to any magic.
"What I can say is that more than 2,000 women have written or called and said, 'I couldn't get pregnant, and since I touched them, now I'm pregnant,'" O'Brien said.
"It really is amazing with the people and the luck that they've had, just their enthusiasm, and hope and fate, that these are going to work for them."
Other families don't publicize their experience, keeping the results private, said O'Brien, who hasn't heard from any Myrtle Beach-area resident.
He said women will even send photocopies or facsimiles of their hands to Ripley's to rub on the statues, and the requests are fulfilled, O'Brien said.
Kim Kiff, director of Ripley's Ocean Boulevard attractions, said she was grateful to have the statues for the weeks around Valentine's Day.
"There are so many people who want children," she said. "This is just a neat thing. It's an opportunity for local people who might want to give it a try."
This three-year tour of the statues is the first since 2001. Ripley's in Myrtle Beach first played host to the totems in summer 1996.
The king and queen depicted were carved from ebony wood in the Ivory Coast in the 1930s, O'Brien said. They weigh more than 70 pounds each.
The king has a short sword in one hand and in the other a mango, which O'Brien said is viewed as an African fertility symbol. The queen holds a newborn infant.
"Legend doesn't say where to rub," O'Brien said. "Women like to touch the infant part."
He observed that men also come see the statues at their wives' request.
"We have gotten several letters from men who touched them and gone home and gotten their wives pregnant," O'Brien said. "It seems to work for both."

FYI: The religion of the Baule tribe includes both ancestor worship and a hierarchy of nature gods. Their creator god is Alouroua, who is never physically represented.
Never represented eh? A reasonable True Christian would say this is because he simply doesn’t exist!

It is startling how these nigra believe in an invisible entity.
Leviticus 26:27-29
27 And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me;
28 Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.
29 And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.

What do those people need a fertility God for anyway? So they can collect more welfare?
