Personally, I think his "apology" was a slap in the face of people who are too cowardly to comport themselves with the reasonable and common sense rules laid out in Scripture. See here:

DOESN'T apologize to the people that he
INTENTIONALLY offended!
Look, there were probably some older ladies in his congregation who were offended by the very idea of common gaysexual perversions like emetophilia, felching and anthropophagolagnia. He was
definitely apologizing to them (and rightly so).
BUT, he
didn't apologize to all of the homos and homo-enablers.
