The Wait is Over. Replacement for the Touch-Down Jesus Statue Ready. -
08-19-2012, 08:51 PM
Some may remember a year of so ago Satan sent a bolt of lightening that torched what was arguable the most beautiful Christian statue ever. It was a depiction of our Lord Jesus signally a touch down.
The piece was 60 feet high and located in Monroe, Ohio. But, Satan never has the last word. The sposoring church has commissioned a replacement, also 60 feet high, and it is almost ready.
This time it is a depiction of the somber Jesus. Likeness to the actual Jesus was confirmed by surviving art work and eye witness testimony.
I would have preferred another touch-down Jesus, but the local church decided otherwise. Anyway, it is a relief to see Satan defeated with another 60 foot high statue.

Is there enough time for us to charter a bus to the unveiling?
II Thessalonians 1:7-9
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power
The man who is being progressively sanctified will inescapably sanctify his home, school, politics, economics, science, and all things else by understanding and interpreting all things in terms of the Word of God and by bringing all things under the Dominion of Christ the King. -R.J. Rushdoony

Brother Jedediah, Great idea. I think there is still time.
It would be so meaningful to our friends here at LBC who cannot attend to see a video of the unveiling.

It was a big disappointment to me they did not use the touchdown pose in the new Jesus. I guess they thought lightening would strike it again.
All they needed to do was put lightening rods on Jesus' thumbs. I was going to go over there and argue with them.
But, I have too much work to do here in Freehold. You have to pick your battles.

The story I heard was the new statue shows Christ squatting down with his crotch in the face of a prostate Muslim. Solid Rock Church though the first statue showed Jesus as way to defensive.
Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.

I suppose one could have called Touch-Down Jesus a defensive pose. In my way of thinking it was Jesus As Judge. He was, like a football referee, condemning sinners and approving we who are True Christians™.

As long as it's not another "Quicksand Jesus".
I can only imagine that Beatles song, "Help", playing over and over from speakers at the base of the original statue.
