It's possible that pop-stars do have religious beliefs but those would usually be separate from their musical output. What they sing about, on the other hand, is not separate from the music. In a hypothetical scenario PERSON A follows RELIGION Z and the religion claims that Sredni Vashtar controls electricity which in our bodies releases godhead leading to pomegranates for everyone. The naturalist may say that in a sense electricity operating in the nervous system can indeed produce pomegranates through agricultural science. If we wanted a trillion pomegranates per month worldwide a moderate increase in production would be within our mental capacity to make it happen and the mental faculties are electrical.
