Friend, that would be the biggest mistake of your life. How about hopping off that high and mighty horse of yours and having a little talk with us? I'll excuse your improper introduction for the moment because I can feel your heart crying out for some divine intervention.

Someone who has never dealt with a science based class since High School, or even early College about a basic understanding of the principles underlying genome analyses has not the slightest clue in what is going on in someones body and should not be permitted to make such assumptions. When you have examined the fundamentals of sequence alignment, phylogenetic analyses, genome annotation, gene prediction, and gene expression data in a field such as Down Syndrome to formulate a reason why this condition is a lifestyle and not a genetically based alteration among altered meiotic recombination, then you may come and debate upon this subject matter.
I hope I have not wasted my time here to argue something in which I do not even know if someone actually believes this theory of lifestyle, or a massive fallacy proclaiming as such just to evoke such retort. Your pretend righteous indignation is noted, Mr Pretend I'm A Doctor on The Internet, but let's cut to the chase here and focus on the real victim here:
Do you really think it was easy for God to sacrifice Himself to Himself, to "give up the ghost" as they say, for three whole days? Do you think that hanging on the cross, nails in his hands and feet, a crown of thorns on his head, practically naked for everyone to see his holy willy, was a day in the park for him? How would you like it if you had taken on the burden of paying the debt for sin, knowing you could turn all the giggling Jews into toads with the blink of an eye, or even change the whole debt/eternal damnation rule that you made up so long ago, but instead deciding to restrain yourself? Who has that kind of restraint? What mere human could walk away from that without being totally messed up? And you have the audacity to defend the retards who refuse to even acknowledge God's Saving Grace, who refuse to give up their selfish game of Oh Look At Me! I'm So Cute And Always Smiling Like A Human Teddy Bear![/sarcasm] You would do well to look into your own heart, Mr. Throw A Bunch Of Sciency Sounding Words Behind My Name Because I'm Terribly Pompous, and focus on your own sin before defending others.

Firstly they are scientific words behind her name (not that you would have a clue what any of them mean and she is not being pompous she is sharing her professional opinion.
Secondly IF god was real and all powerful do you not think he could last a few days of pain or make it so that he didnt feel any pain
Thirdly if god had a problem with people with down syndrome do you not think he would do something about it instead of sitting on a cloud watching this argument go back and forth

Friend, no Christian has an 'opinion'. We have the Holy Bible that tells us what to think.

A few days (for a mortal person) to God is a blink of an eye to Him. Furthermore, feeling pain, like feeling good, is merely a sensation and having sensation is pleasant. Are you that much of a cold hearted bastard that feelings are to be denied?

Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

Firstly, go ahead and google "Dean J. MacCannell, M.D. - Neurogenetics of Pediatric Motor Disorders Research Program and Neuromuscular Electrodiagnostic Laboratory." I'll wait.
Secondly, that's my point. He could have done all those things, but He didn't. He endured hour after hour of excruciating pain for these little ingrates, and they don't bother enough to mumble a "thanks, whatever."
Thirdly, God isn't sitting on a cloud but on a Throne (Hebrews 12:2), and He will enjoy tossing them into the very Lake of Fire come Judgement Day!
And I will praise Him until then, and for all eternity after!

Listen up, Dingleberry. The poster with letters behind her name is a liar about her credentials. Why, I'll bet that she doesn't even know David Alexander or John Grigsby. Besides this the post was made by a man.

i can believe what i just read.... Downs syndrome is a choice! it is not caused when the chromosomes are not copied correctly during pregnancy and the child gets an extra one. they have a choice that they are that way. they are not born like that. its simple biology. there is a way to choose to have down syndrome just like there is a way to chose to be gay.

Do you seriously believe in the "chromosomes" fairy tale? Have you ever seen one of those chromosomes for real? I don't think so. Please stick to verifiable facts. If you cannot touch it and it isn't in the Bible, it doesn't exist. Surprisingly simple.

Everyone here must not have been raised correctly if you believe anything your church has taught you. Every single one of you must not be right in the head. Science has proven down syndrome and many of the other disabilities you have mentioned here to problems with the brain, such as lack of oxygen during child birth. Tell me dear ones, can a child choose to have an umbilical cord wrapped around its neck during the birth? I hope you all burn in your non-existent hell. Bye.

We put our faith in God, whose handiwork can be seen everywhere you look:
Quote:
Colossians 1:16 (1611 King James Bible)
For by him were all things created that are in heauen, and that are in earth, visible and inuisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him.
|
You put your blind faith in science, an organized system of ignorance backed by nothing.
Who's not right in the head again?
Now, how about posting a proper introduction. See my signature.
I Kings 7:23
And he made a moulten Sea, ten cubites from the one brim to the other: it was round all about, & his height was fiue cubits: and a line of thirtie cubites did compasse it round about.
New here? Desiring to be pleasing in the eyes of The Lord and His Followers?
Then do as directed by our esteemed Pastors and head on over to the Introductions subforum and make your first post there, friend. Tell us what church you go to and what your favorite Bible verse is and how you came to find Jesus. Anything else you want to share with us about how Jesus has blessed you is welcomed too.
Are you a hater of God that believes He is a morally bankrupt monster? Read Why, you ask, is God so angry? to see that it is in fact you that is the monster that mercilessly and infinitely torments God.
Stop this relentless torturing of God and accept Jesus today!

Fashionable "science". Last time I checked down syndrome was caused by "chromosome abnormality". Now it's lack of oxygen. What's next, vitamin deficiency? Are you really so gullible to believe in this nonsense? Secular science is a money machine! Why don't you open a Bible instead, to learn about what really causes sickness and disease and, more importantly, what brings healing?
Quote:
And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee. - Exodus 15:26

Hehe, nice move using "family website". Unfortunate for you that link did not contain any Adult material. It was pure logic based science. Logic, something you people seem to miss. I just find it so hard as to understand why you won't accept it? I mean, without our modern technology that we have today thanks to scients is what keeps us going. We wouldn't be able to survive without it. Yet you mock it? I'd like to see you live without it. According to your bible you should be fine, why not give it a try?

What are year here for? Simply to ride rough shod over our most cherished beliefs?
This is a Christian site where, honest, hardworking Christians come to fellowship about Jesus and the Bible and why Jesus' temporary sacrifice was so needed to save us from the Lake of Fire for our transgressions angainst Jesus.
Our Christian love extends to all who would worship and praise Jesus.
It is clear that you are hurting and maybe someone has done something to you but transfering that hate to other people you happen to diasagree with is not the way.
Ask your self this: why did Jesus bring you here?

The answer is simple. We love the LORD our God with all our hearts, minds, and souls. We want to please the LORD, and so we avoid what He hates, such as rational thinking.
