Hi, I'm new to this forum, but have been checking it out for a while now. Please, dear god-lovers, listen to what we have to say, and think about it. You do not answer the questions these atheïst ask, and IF you reply to what one of them says, it's something like: "You're wrong, because the bible says so."
So basically, you believe everything SOMEBODY wrote down a long time ago. So if I myself write down on a piece of paper, or in a book, that god doesn't exist, really simple, like: "God does not exist." Will you believe that too?
Please do respond, as an adult,
Aaaaltje.

And how do you know that?
Now serious, do you actually think "God" wrote the bible? Because I'm pretty sure I read here somewhere on this thread that he is not even a person. So how did he write the bible then?
Again, please amuse me with your theories,
Aaaaltje.

That's your proof? Pleeaase... If I put something like that in my book, (remember, the one in which I wrote "God does not exist") that wouldn't mean it was true.
Let me break down the last part so you might actually understand some of it:
The person that wrote about "God" and how "He" created the world, wrote that the same "God" he just invented, gave him the ideas for the book.
I hereby invent "Aaaaltje", "He" is the one who gave me my inspiration for the words: "God does not exist" and "Aaaaltje made the world (in seven days).". Those words I will put in my new book.
Would you believe that?
Again, amuse me,
Aaaaltje.

Now try to read what I posted. I KNOW I'm not God, I know that. You get that now?
If you do, read it again. What I said was that SOMEONE who invented "God" in a book, used his invention as his inspiration. I'm saying I could do that too. Would you believe that too? Me being "Aaaaltje", the one who actually created the world (Atleast that's what my book says, but you people believe everything that's in a book, so that wouldn't be a problem)
Now don't amuse me this time, give me an actual good answer, please,
Aaaaltje.

The reason you can't write a book and sell it as a religion is because there is absolute truth. That absolute truth was revealed to us by God in the Bible. Anything that disagrees with the Bible must be false, because the Bible is absolute truth. See?

No I don't see it. But I'll give it a try:
You're saying that according to "God" everything in the bible is true. And if "God" says it is true, it is? Right?
Because if that's what you think is true, try to remember that the whole bible, and everything you think to know about "God" is written by some guy ages ago. That guy invented "God". So you're believing some guy who lived ages ago, and didn't have any scientific proof? And because of that guy, and the book he wrote, I don't speak the truth? Doesn't sound right to me.
Yours,
Aaaaltje

For the part about me not being a True Christian: I am not on this site, that's true, but that doesn't mean I don't go to church and don't read the bible. I am just interrested by how badly people are blinded by this book, and how much they believe the book. Now that I said that, I'd like to add that I don't want to provoke here, I just want to know how much you guys think to know about the world (and it's creation).
And as for the second part: I already wrote the book in which I said "Aaaaltje" gave me the inspiration, but you didn't believe that now did you? Why do you do in believe some guy who wrote it about "God"? You said "God inspired scripture, not some old man." which is true, but "God" didn't write the book, the (old) guy did. He was just inspired by the thing he had in his mind (that being "God")
Yours,
Aaaaltje.

I wasn't going by your status on this site. It's obvious you don't go to church or read the Bible.

I love learning about the universe and nature- that's why I read my Bible every day.

If a friend of mine dictates a book to me- no not one book, 66 books, then gives it to me to bind, copy, and sell, who wrote the book- me or my friend? My friend, obviously.

With all do respect, that's bullsh*t. Nothing in the bible proves anything about the creation of the universe and the world, it just says that it was made by "God", which isn't possible.

Maybe this is because I'm not English, and English isn't my first language, but I don't understand what you're saying, if you could, please rewrite it in a way that I can understand.

If it's not possible, then why does it say it happened in the Bible? Huh? GOTCHA! CASE CLOSED!

Another simple minded female. Don't you know you should keep your head in an oven off the internet?
Of course God did not write the Bible. He has people (meaning us, His flock) do it for Him. Of course He proof reads it and signs off on it. If there were errors or omissions, don't you think at some point, as True Christians™ followed His Word® as written in the Bible, if we did something God had not intended us to do, He would of corrected the error?
All the 'contradictions' you have were 'invented/are theories' typically by a single guy or at best, a small group of God hating men and not by God. That alone makes their comments highly suspect.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

You are on this site, so that comment of yours was a lie.
It is obvious you do not go to Church or read the Bible, that is another lie
You say you do not want to provoke, yet you do, another lie again.
If you had read the Bible and went to Church, you would know what we think, sealing your pack of lies.

You're taking this waay to seriously, man. My status on this site isn't "True Christian", that's what I meant with that.
It is obvious that I do not go to church and read the bible, okay, but I didn't say I did, did I now?
And I don't want to provoke, yet I do. That's too bad, I'm sorry lill' fella. DIDN'T MEAN TO provoke, that's something else.

No wonder you are not a Christian with a mouth like yours.
What makes you think you can come here, discuss the Bible and how incredibly significant it is if you know nothiong about it. You just make things up.
Forgive me for calling you a woman. Just your comments were so shallow and unsubstantial, I thought you had to be a female. Again, my deepest apologies.
(up)yours too - Does that mean this?

I cannot be a Christian with a mouth like mine? If I said something that hurt your pathetic little soul, I'm sorry. You see, that is a mouth of someone who obviously isn't a Christian.
What makes me think I can come here on this forum and discuss the bible? My mind, my perfectly healthy normal sane mind, the one that doesn't believe in god, yet the same one who doesn't want to provoke (but you're almost getting me to.)
Shallow and unsubstantial is something typically female? I didn't know you had to be a female to be a Christian? After all you are the ones not looking further into the world than the book in front of you.
Sorry for the (up) yours, I won't let my stupidity get to me again,
yours,
Aaaaltje.
