I was recently arguing with a biker (well, a guy on a bicycle) who says he needs to keep "situational awareness" by looking around when riding, and says he needs sunglasses for the same reason. I pointed out the true reason: he's looking at women, and men who look at women are mentally raping them.
He emailed me later (trigger wanring: ev*lution):
He emailed me later (trigger wanring: ev*lution):
"People evolved a sense of beauty to tell if they were in a good situation or not. Imagine a tribe of nomadic hunter-gatherers have discovered a new location, and are checking it out. There's waterfall pouring out fresh water, and flowering fruit trees, and a good view of their surroundings. They are happy. They're happy because they're surrounded by fresh water, easy calories, and defensible terrain, but ask them why they feel good, and they'll just say "it's beautiful".
Likewise, being surrounded by lots of healthy women is also a sign that your tribe is prospering, and you should be happy.
After all, it's easier to rape a starving skeletal woman than a healthy, fit woman, yet men still prefer to look at un-rapable healthy women.
Also, if men are constantly sneaking around in search of opportunities to rape, why are they also, according to #metoo, constantly doing the least sneaky thing possible: cat-calling, flirting, and generally letting their sexual interest be known?
By the way, does the "looking equals rape" rule also apply to gay men? If not, why not?
It goes on, and it's just as much of a mess. In reply, all I need is the simple, other-ways-of-knowing provided by Matthew 5:27-30:Likewise, being surrounded by lots of healthy women is also a sign that your tribe is prospering, and you should be happy.

Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:But I say unto you, That whosoever lookethon a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out,and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
So, there you have it there, all perpetrators of toxic, hegemonic masculinity: if you've ever looked at a pretty woman and felt pleasure, you are morally the same as someone who has actually screwed her. You are a rapist, case closed.
And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out,and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
