Re: Should We Invite Catholics to Landover Baptist

I stumbled into a new Catholic Bishop's initiative and I'm concerned. The Bishops issued a statement they seek "healing" in the post Roe period. It implies they were the ones responsible for turning back Roe and now they want to be everyone's friend. The facts are Landover Baptist and Pastor Zeke pulled the strings that overturned Roe.

If this "reaching out" means they want to come into our Landover Baptist Church to schmooze and shake hands, no thank you. We are interested in converting Catholics, not getting along with them.

WASHINGTON - In response to the Supreme Court of the United States issuing its ruling in Dobbs v. Thank you taking the trouble to read that and explain his nibs' message. You can see where I stopped: everything after that is meaningless to me – but, will inform the actions of others for whom "archbishops" are a thing.

It's taken five hundred years to get rid of laws laid down by Rome using these archbishops, cardinals, metropolitans, what-have-you. To get rid of tyrants who burned us alive when they were not only the law but also the education system. They used a simple enough system: corrupt not only WHAT people learn but HOW they learn. The result was that pupils were unable to distinguish between reliable information and unreliable information. The second category is not actually information at all – it's garbage. But the pope required people to believe garbage so that he and his bishops/cardinals/etc. could carry on living in bloated luxury. Whether the conquistadors believed this garbage or not (I'm going with "not") is irrelevant here because they needed everyone else to believe it so they could bleed off their assets for Rome. If they kept doing that, Rome would let them keep playing sailors.

Enter Queen Elizabeth, after whom Virginia is named. She knew all about popes AND how to get rid of them. Catholicism was defeated in England and the colonies prospered. Naturally the people prefer to make their own laws and that happened BUT the pope was drooling to get his hands on a useful resource (not one he'd done anything to build up) watching waiting and always ready to pounce. A century is nothing to these freaks.

“At first,” he'd think, “I'll do some laws reflecting Biblical values, just like back in the 2-hundreds when we were pretending not to be pagans.” Well, they're still pretending that and as long as what comes out of the education system can't see it, he'll carry on claiming successes where nothing is actually due to Rome but muscling in on the action is a speciality of popes, cardinals & whatever other fancy titles they think up for themselves and the primary cause of so many risking life and limb to get out of every Romish hell-hole. They know what it's like. The pope knows that too and what took half the last millennium to get rid of can spring back into action very quickly indeed. Thank you again for reading this and reporting on our behalf.

Re: Should We Invite Catholics to Landover Baptist

While I welcome all with open arms, a blanket invitation to a group of Godless people that worship 'a prostitute virgin' makes no sense to me. Obviously, these people are as gullible as kittens in a lawn mower.
However, if we are able to provide one with True Salvation (tm) then it is a worthy mission.
So bring on the rosary rattlers and pot smokers and fish hats.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Just an idea: Would it add to the fun of converting Catholics if we passed a metal bucket around the congregation? Catholics would be instructed in throw their rosaries in the bucket. Each toss would make a loud noise (or we could enhance with a secret mic fed into the sound system). Every tossed rosary would bring a cheer from our congregation.

Re: Should We Invite Catholics to Landover Baptist

We have always opened our doors to Catholics to leave their false church and become Christians.

Honestly, the results have been mixed. Sure, a few have seen the light, but how many times do we have to explain that, no, we won't mount idols of Jesus in our church or ask our pastors to wear dresses to make the ex-Catholics feel more at home, and that the Eucharist is not an inexpensive lunch meat. My own opinion is that we should just cherrypick the biggest tithers and let the rest find a spiritual home in some lesser Baptist church where they have more patience.

Re: Should We Invite Catholics to Landover Baptist

Has anyone else wondered who the "Jesus" idol is? It can't actually be Him because He is building His Church and has promised that things like idols would not prevail. That sounds pretty hands on to me.
                Matthew 16 [JESUS SPEAKING]
                18d
                I will build my church
18e the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Hell is trying to prevail over the Church. Satan doesn't know how to do anything else and idols are central to his scheme as are other features of Rome described in Pastor's address. Jesus in His hands-on capacity would not allow idols of Himself to be made because He loves us. Which leaves me wondering, who was the model for their "Jesus" idol?

One thing for certain, we cannot allow Catholics to bring in their own department store manikins. I've seen the inside of Catholic churches and Marys and Jesuses are just disgusting. Do they dress them in different outfits for the seasons?

New Catholics would need to have a stern lecture before entering. Conform or get out.

I wandered into one once. Very confronting. Even if I didn't know about idols, simply as "statues" they'd be disturbing to any sane person. About 1900 the old lunatic asylums were phased out or more likely just closed and everyone would have to go somewhere else. "Mental illness" was invented to replace the legal condition of lunacy. For half a century there was a gap in categories of mad persons until someone noticed the condition of "insanity" was not irrational and that insane people could actually function normally, unlike lunatics, the mentally ill, psychotics, neurotics, etc., all of whom are impaired and unable to function normally.

Insane persons are quite rational, it was observed, according to their beliefs such as IF they are made of glass THEN they need to be careful and not bump into things – which is perfectly rational given the initial assumption. Other than that they could navigate the world as well as anyone and hold down a job. Probably not as a pneumatic road bumper though.

Back to the idols. Our insane glass person would be sufficiently worried about walking into hard edges to not notice the revolting statue and would not be affected. The fact that it is stone or wood and edged and hard outweighs the subject matter itself. For any sane person even as "statues" they'd be disturbing due to the tortures depicted and the obsessive treatment of Mary together with all the others whose facial expressions are straight out of one of those asylums.

To sit there with a priest droning or wailing or whatever they do, looking at the statues, sitting, standing, kneeling, getting the close-range muttering, surely induces a similar state of mind – rather than not bumping edges though, as in the case of glass, it's not upsetting the total solution offered by the creed. And especially not upsetting the clergy. Otherwise your deceased loved one could miss out on parole from purgatory – and we know what that means.

Money. Even if the pope has modest tastes, all those palaces still need to be maintained and the cardinals need to eat. I wonder if they have a wine cellar?

Now I'm much more careful which buildings I walk into. I've asked my papist about attending Baptist services but am waiting to hear.

Unfortunately, they do. For Catholics, Jesus and Mary are basically life-sized Ken and Barbie dolls. I've heard stories of Catholics holding Beach House Jesus masses where everyone celebrated the Eucharist while wearing string bikinis and eating marijuana brownies in the place of communion wafers, then piled into RVs to go skinny dipping. There is simply no end to Catholic blasphemies.

Do you remember the old Bozo the Clown show? They had six buckets and with every bucket you made, you got a bigger prize. We might catch some of those more fecund Catholic families with dozens of rosaries and offer them a similar game. I wonder what the Grand Prize might be.

If we are going to limit Catholic entrance to Landover Baptist Church, it seems like we should start by studying last names. Anyone with an Italian sounding name should be excluded.

The reason for this is the record-breaking number of clergy sex abuse cases compiled in Italy. There have been over 600 cases reported. This is reason to suspect not only Catholic priests from Italy but any other Italian Catholics.

Brother Mayor, if Italian sorts are going to be allowed into LBC then they really should be encouraged to deal with all that Italiany-stuff. They need to watch their tempers, lower their voices and sit on their hands if necessary while talking.

It would also help if they avoided the sun, (some of them are still rather swarthy) and learned to cook something--anything, really, withOUT garlic.

And it goes without saying that they need to stop muttering "Mamma mia" and "Holy Mother of God" between 80% of their sentences.

I know all of us at Landover Baptist have shared the same suspicion of Catholics who claimed they were supporting President Trump. We wondered if they really understood his place in God's plan for our country or were they just biding their time until their Pope became our President. Now we are learning we were right for our suspicions.

New polls show Catholics are cooling to President Trump. Some are buying into propaganda he was not elected in 2020. Others think his trial and conviction were legitimate events not shams dreamed up by Joe and Hunter Biden. Still others think after getting Roe overturned he should have followed up by jailing harlot women who got abortions. These Catholics need to hear threats from President Trump about possible taxes on communion wine and FBI monitoring of Priests and their alter boys.

Well, I cannot say this comes as any real surprise, dear Brother Mayor Hold. I mean, considering the way that the Pope so rudely showed that he was not enjoying his time with President Trump, then it is no wonder that the Cathyolicks are being so temperamental and ill-mannered!
