Friend, My God, and yours too, tho you do not yet know it, is a merciful God. When he sent us from the garden he did not send us unprepared, he gave us an enquiring and resourceful mind. What you (and I) call science and technology are manifestations of Gods great miracle of creation. When Noah built the ark did people stand around and say 'look at this marvel of technology! This must be proof that there is no God!'? Well I wasn't around then and neither were you but what do you think they said when the rain came?

Please make a thread of your own in the "Introductions" section of the forum, so that we can properly greet you. Tell us about yourself, your church, and how you came to find Jesus.

And if you're here to flame us, better take a look at THIS before making an even bigger ass out of yourself.

Technology is a branch of science. Everything you use in your daily lives, such as electricity, planes, cars, trains, computers etc. are all products of the scientific method. what do you think gives the "atom bomb" its power? If you're a true christian and you think all science is evil, then move to Amish country. No science there to hurt you.

The Bible is at the core of all science. If it weren't for the Bible we wouldn't have any knowledge whatsoever. Everyone would be in spiritual darkness, too busy having anal sex to explore God's mysterious creation.

If it wasn't for science we wouldn't have any knowledge of what we really see in the world and Universe. The Bible was more than likely written by 7 dehydrating men in a desert that were making up stories! You're religion is responsible for a lot of the bad stuff that goes on in this world. Well misuse of religion, it proves time and time again it amounts to more bad than good in this world, yet people seem to stick by it as if it's their personal saviour. Crazy!

God gives the atom bomb it's power. God gave the atomic bomb to the allied forces in order to take out the heathen japs and spread Christianity.

Understand science. It's no God that gives it its power, but nuclear fission. In a conventional bomb a reaction is set off that produces lots of hot gas that explodes out of the bomb and cause destruction. Nuclear warheads are not like that. There are two general types of nuclear weapons, fission and fusion. For simplicities sake, I'll explain the Uranium-235 warhead. What happens is that Uranium-235 atoms are bombard with neutrons. A U-235 atom will take on the extra atom and become unstable. The Uranium-235 atom will split into Barium-141, Krypton-92 and 3 additional neutrons which will bombard a nearby U-235 atom. When this happens something called a "mass defect" occurs. What this means is that the sum of the U-235 atom and the neutron is less than the resulting atoms. This material is lost during the reaction and becomes energy according to E=mc^2 (i.e Energy = mass*(the speed of light squared)).

The balloon was helium. It was a weather balloon that was specially designed for the operating in the stratosphere. Other balloon designs would not have worked as they would have burst or developed leaks. It is physically impossible for you to rise into space via a balloon. He was almost at the limit (~26 miles) when he jumped.

I wonder whether you'll ever realize that all that "science" of yours is false (1 Corinthians 1:19, 1 Corinthians 1:27, 1 Corinthians 3:19-20), and that God is intentionally blinding you and letting you go to Hell (2 Thessalonians 2:11-12).

What is keeping those satellites up there isn't some magical force though (extremely silly to believe something would just hang there without falling down) they use balloons for that.

Just like this: Skydiver Felix Baumgartner breaks sound barrier. Neither rockets nor magic involved here, just a plain and simple balloon.

Nobody denies satellites exist. How else would you explain satellite TV! And rockets exist as well. How else can we send our nukes to the unbelievers of this world.
