  • Driverless Cars Must Contain Christian Values

I'm certainly no scientist, but I can see the opportunity to declare my love for Jesus in the science of driverless cars.

When going down a highway, surprises happen. When they happen choices must be made. Do you swerve to avoid a child chasing a ball and endanger yourself, or, do you kill the child and keep yourself safe?

Animals run across roads and similar choices must be made. All these choices will be made by your car's computer, not by yourself. Your car's computer must reflect your True Christian™ values.

The Bible teaches us that children are not as important as adults. Animals are to be used and abused as we see fit. We know Jesus intended for us to favor large cars over small cars and, especially, bicycles.

In general then, driverless cars must be programed so we True Christians™ who drive big cars have dominion over all lesser creatures and objects on the road. God's will must be carried out.

The Murky Ethics of Driverless Cars

A new study explores a moral dilemma facing the creators of self-driving vehicles: In an accident, whose lives should they prioritize?
    By Tom Jacobs
So you’re driving down a dark road late at night when suddenly a child comes darting out onto the pavement. Instinctively, you swerve, putting your own safety in jeopardy to spare her life.
Very noble of you. But would you want your driverless vehicle to do the same?
That question, which can be found idling at the intersection of technology and ethics, is posed in the latest issue of Science. A variation on the famous
trolley dilemma, it won’t be theoretical for long: Self-driving vehicles are coming soon, and they will need to be programmed how to respond to emergencies.
    A research team led by
Iyad Rahwan of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology argues that this poses a huge challenge to their creators. In a series of studies, it finds people generally agree with the “utilitarian” argument — the notion that cars should be programmed to spare as many lives as possible.
However, when asked what they would personally purchase, they tended to prefer a vehicle that prioritized the safety of its riders. And a theoretical government regulation that would mandate a spare-the-greatest-number approach significantly dampens their enthusiasm for buying a driverless car.

This is a very sound principle on which to base any decision. Machines are the new “animal” for us to command – our commands are based on sound scripture, and, as a consequence, they are “what God wants”.

As we so often say, it is not what I want, it is what God wants. A child, adult, or animal obstructing the highway has had its life ordained by God, and it is He Who decides who lives and dies. His Perfect Decision is facilitated by a machine programmed in His Likeness of Thought. It is our contribution to His Certainty.

Well said, Pastor Bathfire. This wisdom explains why you are so popular at Landover Baptist Church.

It occurred to me we at LBC might want to copy write of register ownership of a unique badge or symbol we would wear that a Christian-programed sensor would recognize. It would be available only through our LBC or other churches we might franchise and charge a royalty fee.

Perhaps our members here with an artistic bent could post suggestions for such an image.

If a True Christian Self Driving Car™ had to choose between killing a True Christian™ and a muslim who would it kill?

A True Christian™ goes to heaven anyway so you would actually do him a favor. But killing a muslim instead would send him to hell. At the end the right thing to do is killing both. It would send the muslim to hell and send the True Christian™ directly into the arms of Jesus.

After that the car could very well lock down its doors and set itself on fire slowly sending the second True Christian™ to heaven.

I think we are missing a trick if we don't get these cars to recognise Muslims.

Is the Holy Hackers on the job already? I know we don't want to blow their cover, but I really do think we need to divert some of them from Project Obama to a seek and run over program. This would be perfect use of Satan's technology.

In the same sense that children are not worth as much as adults, Jewa and ***racial slur removed*** are worthless and if you have the chance swerve into one with your driverless cars.

Friend, you're as confused as you are foolish. Jews aren't "worthless." Why, if you saw the monthly bills Pastor Zeke gets from his Jew Lawyers to keep him out of hot water, you'd know just how much they can be worth!

That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

So correct, Sister Mary. Besides the value of Jews to Pastor Zeke, the Bible tells us not to imprint the Star of David in our driverless car sensors and drive over Jews.

Instead, the Bible tells us in several places (John 8: 13-14) Jews are to be dispersed around the world to live in misery so they may never organize and do more harm to Jesus.

The problem is how can we make this technology recognize who is Christian and who is not. Also what is to stop the Muslims, Jews and other enemies of Christ to open a car lot, hack the cars computers and make them kill Christians instead of what they were intended for.

I see another positive here, you will be able to pray while driving one of these new cars without worrying about being distracted. I'm sure Jesus would be in favor of this.

That's a grand idea, Brother. Finally, Christians can let Jesus take the wheel without angry throngs of people whining about it.
