Before the sun and the stars there was light from God, just as He will illuminate the New Earth.

Revelation 21:1-2, 23 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.….And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

There are two fluids involved. One fluid is light the other is darkness; these two do not appear together Genesis 1:3-4. Another type of illumination, other than the sun and moon which provide light by day and night respectively Genesis 1:14-15, is the Shekinah or Glory of God which guided The Israelites out from Egypt Exodus 13:21 and also appeared in The Temple on occasions I Kings 8:10-11 once it was built. This is not reliant on the sun as an energy source.

Satan is able to simulate radiance but it's false. A deception. Satan is not the sun because Satan has not been appointed to provide light for us. That's clear from Genesis. Satan can nevertheless transform himself as part of his deception.

II Corinthians 11:14-15 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

It's a long term plan but doomed to futility and ruin, along with all those who reject love of The Truth and get deceived (remember that Eve's crime was to have been deceived) resulting in damnation. God is clear on this point:

II Thessalonians 2:7-10 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

If, as frequently suggested, the Earth is not fixed. Psalm 104:1-5 .but is removed from its location minute by minute and re-established elsewhere surely the path of the sun would be very inconsistent? In another thread we have moving stars and let's face it if the stars are moving and the Earth is moving too what's to say their respective motions do not cancel out leaving a seemingly stationary sky at night?

Stars move as the earth rotates on its own center. The north star is positioned on the center of this rotation, thats why its movement is minute and barely perceptible..

I always use it against atheists who ask, how come the Sun and Moon were created on the fourth day (Genesis 1:14-19)? What measured the three days and nights before it?

As Joshua 10:13 shows, some sort of a mechanical time measuring device, not a solar clock, was already used by God and known to the ancient peoples. God measured the days before creating Sun and Moon with a mechanical clock, and the Isrealites were measuring time during their battle with Amorites with a mechanical clock as well!

It's called Occam's Razor, ignorant atheists: the simplest explanation must be the true one.

Hey y'all. I decided to try my hand at being a scientist unlike non-scientist mechanical engineer Bill Lie. Every lying scientist will try to tell you that the Earth revolves around the sun. This couldn't be further from the truth and is an effort from demonic atheists to denounce The Bible and claim that God and Jesus is a lie.

Now let's say that the earth revolved around the sun for a crazy moment. Given the geography that the sun is over in Gibson, it isn't possible at all for the moon to be settled in Ajalon at the same time. BOOm! The Bible doesn't lie! Therefore how can creationist theory of the sun being the center of our galaxy be true? Why is it that Earth is the only planet with actual life? If other planets actually exist, how come nobody has ever set foot on them? It's all poppycock.

Wow. The sun didn't go down for the whole day during this. Some scientists will tell you it's simply not possible. If it's not possible then how come in some parts of Earth they have almost 20 hours of moonlight? Look at God forsaken Nunavut in Canada. You could say it's the geographical location but if that were the case, American Alaska would not have an excess of sunlight! God smiles on Alaska because of great people like Sarah Palin and Alaska is waaaaay up there.

The opposite often happens in deserts full of idolaters like the Sahara. God makes an effort to punish them by giving them TOO MUCH sunlight in an effort to kill off their vegetation. It's all part of God's plan. The rise of the sun and moon are the very acts of God.
