It figures that global warming conspiracy theorists think its warming up even when the place on Earth with the most sun is the coldest place on Earth (Looking at you Al Gore). I was wondering if there's an explanation of this in The Bible. Is this the place where Jews once thought up the plan to betray Jesus and so God cursed it with being uninhabitable (killing off the disbelievers)? I was hoping to ask one of Landover's Elders for an explanation as I am hoping to be able to have a good explanation for Sunday School next week.

Re: Why does Antarctica have less than an hour of night time?
There are many possibilities. Have you ever been to the edge of the world? Did you check your watch batteries? Was it so cold that your watch froze? That could easily explain these stupid, anti-Christian measurements. If I have seen further, it is by standing on the heads of others.

Re: Why does Antarctica have less than an hour of night time?
I've no doubt there have been attempts by Christian denominations to convert whoever lives (or has lived) up there at some point. I look for reason within God's ways because of Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse. This would give there a purpose for how and why Antarctica works in a peculiar manner (in other words, because God made it so but why).My name is Maxine Levantine. I am 17 and follow the KJV Bible to a T. If you are wanting to hit on me you can turn away. THIS is reserved for Jesus and my future husband (whoever that may be).

I'm not a theologian, but I've been observing what God does all my life and made some conclusions. When we see something dramatic, a hurricane of in this case extreme daylight, it is always some kind of punishment for sin.
We need to look at what people God put there and whether humans have done race mixing since then. We even need to consider whether there were supposed to be any humans there at all.Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

I'm going to look at it as Godms most successful attempt at eradicating a mistake from Earth. We never even hear or know about the people who used to live there and probably for good reason. Diamonds come from Africa and I for one will never fall for any of that liberal Hollywood fad revolving around "lab grown diamonds." My earrings have the taint of the blood, sweat, and tears of a nine year old sinner working in the mines in Africa as punishment for being so selfish as to breathe the air Jesus created for him without muttering once "I'm sorry. I repent." You see, my heart goes out to the unreached so much, and I feel like I'm doing the LORD's work giving those children the opportunity to think about what they've done to offend Jesus before it's too late. Every time I put on jewelry from the Dark Continent, I pray for those children to be Saved before they die of starvation or tribal warfare or whatever it is that distracts them from reading the Bible.Originally posted by BibleReader2231 View PostIf only God did this to Africa.Hello, my name is Mary. Your problem here Sister is that your mind has been poisoned by the secularists into believing their "heliocentric" theories. They think the sun is some kind of giant ball of fire rotating around the earth. They don't really know because no one has been there. The sun is in the firmament and is probably some kind of flashlight, and as we know about flashlights the edges of their beams are quite weak - so as the flashlight moves around the firmament to produce night and day for most of us, there are some edges that are illuminated longer.Originally posted by BibleReader2231 View PostIt figures that global warming conspiracy theorists think its warming up even when the place on Earth with the most sun is the coldest place on Earth (Looking at you Al Gore). Another way to think of it is like those TV satellites that they supposedly put into "orbit", which could not possibly be the case as you would only be able to watch TV (DirecTV / Dish) during the day. As we all know you can watch satellite TV anytime because those rockets put the satellite into the firmament at one place.Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise;

Re: Why does Antarctica have less than an hour of night time?
My boys want to know if it may be a sort of combined flashlight/heater, Brother? Like one of those halogen heaters that focuses the heat where it's pointing. They think that could explain why it's warmer when the sun is right up in the firmament and pointing directly at wherever you are, and colder when it's what is commonly called "rising" or "setting", i.e. located around the edges.Originally posted by WilliamJenningsBryan View PostThe sun is in the firmament and is probably some kind of flashlight, and as we know about flashlights the edges of their beams are quite weak - so as the flashlight moves around the firmament to produce night and day for most of us, there are some edges that are illuminated longer.Vaccinated by the love of Jesus!!!

Re: Why does Antarctica have less than an hour of night time?
One thing we can be sure about is that the sun is within The Firmament. God has explained this for us.
Genesis 1:6-7 God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
There is some discussion as to whether The Firmament is transparent, enabling us to see the waters above it, or whether The Firmament is itself blue. Alternatively it could merely be the air contained within it that appears blue. In either case, a sun on the other side of The Firmament would either be invisible or extinguished regardless of the world's shape beneath it. As far as that goes, God's description of other events down here preclude any sort of ball-shaped world.
Perhaps mineral exploration of Antarctica would open up more avenues to confirm Scripture?

And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. The reader will note that there is no mention of "heat". If we add this to the fact that there is a Great Ice Wall that circles the periphery, then the conclusion that the pleasant warmth that civilized and Godly nations enjoy is, in fact "God's Love".
Ge:1:3: And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
Ge:1:4: And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
Ge:1:5: And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
There is an absence of "God's Love" in Antarctica as there is damn-all there to benefit and God has no interest in anyone going there, as it seems to be a pointless occupation when you consider that that time could be better spent spreading His Word.
Hell is dark. Hell is dark because of an absence of God's Love.
The two ideas combine, and we have the dark, frozen wastes of Antarctica.
