    You poor child,

You are completely right, i thought this was a joke page someone had put up on facebook. Didnt realise there were still people who believed in all of this stuff. So you find nothing wrong with that video at all, nothing? The whole thing was just a lot of crap.

So you admit you are a moral relativist then, right? Why would morality change over time? Morality has nothing to do with time. And considering that we as True Christians™ believe that God is the author of morality, and the Bible reaffirms that God's moral laws are still in effect (Matt. 5:17-19, Heb. 13:8, Deut. 4:2, Matt. 4:4), then that's an untenable position.

Also you're implying that somehow that 2000 years from now things that are perfectly fine today will be immoral, and horrible immoral things in the present day will be accepted.

Back then it was perfectly acceptable for people who uttered the Lord's name to be stoned to death, which fortunately is not the case today, or everyone in this forum, including the extremists, would already have been sentenced to death!
Where does it say if you utter the Lord's name you'll be stoned to death?
But, I understand the gist of what you're saying. The reason why different things were "acceptable" back then was that everyone feared the Lord and followed His commandments. It had nothing to do with morality changing over time.

Again, this is a morally relative position you hold. I guess if society suddenly legalized child molestation and most people were perfectly fine with it....child molestation would be morally ok, wouldn't it? Are you saying morality is completely dependent on whether or not the majority of people follow it?

Clearly certain morals, such as kindness and compassion, are still relevant (in my opinion at least), but those are precisely the kind of morals that many people here have rejected in favour of threats and intimidation!
Those aren't morals, those are actions and feelings. But it's interesting how you arbitrarily choose that being kind to others and having compassion is morally right. What makes compassion unto others any different than following God's commandment to kill a homosexual? Both are in the Bible. Both are commanded by God. Both are presented in the same context.

One final question: 2000 years from now, imagine society in some post-apocalyptic world where there's widespread slavery, cruelty, and mass murder. Would that be a morally just place?

Because, as you taught us, morality changes over time and is completely dependent on what most people think.

It sounds like you would be much more at home living in a country like Iran:

I thought America with all it's claims to freedom had advanced beyond that. If by a moral relativist you mean someone who, unlike the people of 2000 years ago believes that it's wrong to stone people to death for "offences" such as homosexuality, apostasy and (suspected!) adultery, then I'm happy to accept that title.

You don't have to look back far to see that certain morals, or values, or attitudes - whatever you want to call them - do change over time. Modern women in the West are now free to pursue careers, attend universities and enjoy the same privileges as men. In the Middle Ages women were burned as witches if they demonstrated mathematical ability.

I hope as much as you do that awful things such as slavery won't become morally right in the future. Actually that's a very good example about changing attitudes - just a couple of hundred years ago devout Christians had no moral qualms about slavery. We can only hope that morals only change for the best and take our world in the direction of tolerance, equality, peace, unity...

With out God how can we have morals? You can not. God has never changed, man has. True Christians hold on to the Word of God and would like nothing better than too see the Laws given to us by God upheld. It is unfortunate that people calling them selves " Christians" have overturned the Word of God. Its our hope as True Christians(TM) that in the not to distant future there is a change in the ways of our culture. We need to return to the ways of God. Yes that means stoning Homersexurals and whores. It also means so much more, a return to family values, like wives staying home and raising children, cooking and cleaning.
As far a slavery, what is so wrong with it. The owners at least got some work out of Nigra's, as it is now, they just sit around collecting welfare.

WOW! I had heard that people with such extreme prejudice existed, but I didn't really believing it until seeing it in black and white! I'm just speechless. It's ironic that you have perfectly expressed the views and attitudes of the countries that are declared "enemies" of the great American nation, "country of the free"!

Just how am I " prejudiced"? If you have a problem with the Word of God, take it up with Him. Until God makes a change the laws are still valid.

Where do I start?? Let's see, you've shown that you're racist, sexist, homophobic and no doubt many other things besides. If that's not prejudice, I don't know what is!
As an atheist (actually a theological noncognitivist, which is a step beyond atheism) I have as much chance and desire to take anything up with "Him" as with Santa.

Quite so. Christmas for us is all about the whole family coming together and enjoying each other's company. I find that rather fun actually.

Be wary of false Kumbaya Christians who use a highlighter and scissors to read the Bible. God wants us to read the lines, not between the lines. False Christians will go to Hell:
                        Matthew 7:22
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

You mean what the Holy Bible is saying means nothing to you. Because that's what it says; that you will burn in Hell for not submitting to the Will of God.

It's not our fault, we didn't write the Bible. You despise God, please don't direct your anger at us. We love you.

                            He hates you. Praise God!

Sounds like a wonderful book .

The reason I haven't directly attacked God or the Bible is because I have great respect for other people's beliefs, even if I don't share them and I've tried my best to be calm and reasonable amidst all provocation.
Besides which, I know I'll immediately be thrown off the site for any kind of direct criticism - I've so far been sent two infractions, for one of which the reason read as follows "Yap yappity yap yap".

So then you cannot logically attack us when our beliefs are -- in accordance with what the Bible teaches -- that women are meant to serve men, that the races aren't equal and that homosexuality is an abomination.

Maybe you meant to say "I have great respect for other people's beliefs UNLESS those beliefs conflict with mine". Or maybe you should begin to realize that it's OK to disrespect certain beliefs.
