I would accept an explanation that stated that the molten formation wasn't a perfect circle and therefore they could state the measurements they did. Someone attempting to use this scripture to prove that pi=3.00 is therefore wrong.

Someone stating that if three is good enough for god so it's good enough for them is ignorant and therefore wrong.

With this simple innacuracy that some on this forum have fought so feverently to defned the pi=3.00 nonsense, how does it not call into question other scriptures? Oh wait you simply believe therefore there is no innacruacy? hmm? Oh I have been on both sides of the arguements for more theological and doctrinal details but who needs to go that far when the christians are arguing math that has been proven to be wrong?

I can't tell you how happy it makes me that math has proved the bible false. I have learned a great deal of mathematical principles and procedures far beyond the simple little pi calculation. It isn't like pi is the extent of my knowledge on the subject so there is no way, none, it is impossible for you to argue in favour of this laughable pi is 3.00 crap.

Science is different than religion. Its works can be cited as evidence while religious texts cannot. There is a very good reason for this. A scientific paper uses logic, reason, demonstrable evidence, and experimentation to make its points. There is no authority attached to the text unless one subjectively gives the text that authority. It is exactly like citing a work of fiction as authority which is what you are all doing when you say "God said so" or "Good enough for God, good enough for me".

You cannot cite chapter and verse from a work of fiction (subjective) to argue with demonstrable facts (objective).
