Scientists do make mistakes but they go out of their way to fix there mistake and improve.
Scientists will publicly admit their mistake then fix it.
The fact that science changes to improve is a strength not a weakness.
I'm not implying that the earth is that old but the thread title seems to be a valid reason to state what I just said.
