Are Christians without compassion? It is not Stephen Hawking's fault that he is crippled.

Don't be silly. Of course it's his fault and it is he who is without compassion. Mr. Hawking decided to mock God, so God decided to struck him down. You see, God is very compassionate. If He weren't, Steven would be pushing daisies by now. If Mr. Hawking repent, starts following the bible and accept Jesus as his pesonal Saviour, he will still make it into heaven.

This is why God is also God of love. Instead of sending him straight to hell, He just put him through lifetime of misery, so he still would have a shot at eternity in heaven. All this compassion despite Mr. hawkin's vile and evil ways.

I completely agree! Why don't those stupid Atheists finally recognize our genius, and convert, instead of saying that we're delusional?

I'd rather be in Hell with Stephen Hawking than in Heaven with a God who favors men over women, whites over blacks, and Republicans over Democrats.

So you would rather spend all of eternity being tortured, then going to Heaven?

Thank you for discussing Stephen Hawking's ideas without invoking his disability as a punishment from God.

Physicists are as much entitled to discuss the origins of the universe as anyone. Theologians are qualified to discuss religion. The notion that the universe required a creator leads to the question "Who created God?"

Better to leave the question of the origin of the universe to scientists and let the preachers sell used cars or whatever they do best.

Consider this your first debate lost.

The atheists have been throwing that one out from before you were born son. What you don't get is that it requires a prime mover – someone to decide whether the universe should exist or not and under what circumstances and why - and this is something that the "universe" is incapable of doing.

Try a little thought experiment – something the "scientists" are always fond of doing. Imagine yourself being the only person alive with infinite powers and no other thing in existence. Now what would you do? Indeed, you find yourself in the very same predicament with your own daily existence. Your unctuous pretensions drive you to troll a True Christian™ forum, but others are more inclined to build something and be a little more productive – like buying some land, importing some nigras to plant some cotton and making some money (and indirectly providing clothing for his fellow man).

It is not Stephen Hawkings's fault that he is crippled.

But it is. He chooses to be a sinner, which is why God has so afflicted him.

You see, God is all-knowing and all-powerful. This means He knows all about Hawking's affliction. He could have prevented it, or He could reverse it.

He chooses not to, therefore He wants Hawkings to be a cripple.

Make sense?

Why do you hate cripples? You want them to continue wallowing in sin, that they be not healed, and then suffer for eternity in Hell.

I'd rather be in Hell with Stephen Hawkings than in Heaven with the yahoos who have ridiculed him on this board.

Assuming you continue on your present path, God will doubtless grant your wish.

Those of you who are familiar with the English Philosopher Bertrand Russell will no doubt recognize the teapot example. Russell argued, as I do that the burden of proof is on theists to prove the existence of God. Proving that God does not exist is equivalent to proving there is not a teapot in orbit around the Sun. I don't believe there is, Bertrand Russell doesn't believe there is, none of you believe there is, but the only way to prove that there is not is to scan all the objects in orbit around the Sun and see that none of them is a teapot.

The best you can do is to present arguments as to why you would not expect to find a teapot in space. For example, where would it come from? Who would go to the trouble to put it there, etc. The best I can do in "proving" that there is no Heaven or Hell is to begin with a definition--your definition perhaps and cite reasons they are unlikely to exist. For example, where would you put them? How likely is it that there is a God that fits your description who would be in charge of these institutions? If God is just, how can there be a Heaven or Hell, since infinite punishment or reward for finite sins and virtues is unjust?

For those of you who don't believe that anything can orbit the sun, imagine what it would be like to prove that there is not a teapot in Antarctica? BTW I am not a teapot worshipper. No proof, just facts.

And here is why the Jesus-haters will NEVER win: they don't even know WHAT they believe in, and when they do finally settle on something (in this case, teapot worship) they completely abandon it less than 24 hours later.
