I think it's more the other way around, when your learning more about your religion, outside the bible, or when you search facts and evidence for your religion, the less you believe, and wil end by not believing anymore.

The more you know and learn about the world, the less you believe. And that is a fact.

The U.S. Religious Knowledge Survey demonstrates that Atheists/Agnostics correctly answered more religious questions than those of religious belief.

This is because most Atheists are closet-Christians and most evolutionists closet-creationists. The only reason they pretend/say they are Atheists is fear (i.e of being mocked or ridiculed). Most scientists actually embrace creation or intelligent design ideas but are too scared to speak out in fear of losing their jobs.

But once the programmers have finished, there would be a machine somewhat like a preacher of God that would speak only truth. Would be a great way to open more True Christian Churches if there's a shortage of people willing to give sermons in unsettling areas.

I'm not sure why you would think atheists are irrational for studying fairy tales. Basic stories for children can tell you what values that group of children learned. Just like a foreigner reading children's books to learn the basics of a new culture an atheist reading the bible shows them what kind of literature a large segment of the population reads. That doesn't mean all those people that read the Bible will interpret it the same way as this board has shown me. You can also argue against a Christian if you know what errors there are in the Bible to point out. Regrettably reason doesn't matter in a discussion about religion most of the time but it's still good to have an argument.

If you open up your heart while reading the BIBLE(KJV), you would know that there are no errors in it.

Also, how can you be a christian, or be an atheist justifiably, if you don't fully understand what you believe or disbelieve. Atheists dont think the bible is a fairy tale for nothing. Even though many people believe it is the ultimate truth (and then spend a great deal of effort trying to convince others of that) atheists read it, understand it, and realize the many errors/contradictions in the book and the potential translation errors, not to mention the dubious history of the Bible's creation(being chosen by a war loving roman emperor trying to save his position of power) and the many parallels to heathen's religious stories.

Even the early church fathers knew that the heathen parallels to the NT were written by Satan, and they said so.

I agree that there are some dubious Bibles out there that include Aposteral books, but this is not a Papist website. TrueChristians™ recognize the King James Version (1611) as the truly inspired text.

If you want to argue with an atheist may I suggest you get informed about their literature, read some of the arguments atheists might use, and come up with a way to convince them of your truth. You have to read actual literature an atheist writes to truly understand them, not biased preaching from a false prophet on the subject of atheists.

Computers cannot know anything. They are not sentient beings. The programmers might have perfect knowledge of the 1611 King James Bible and therefore are probably True Christians(tm). I don't know how they could not be if they had perfect knowledge and accepted Baby Jesus.

You people can't be serious.
Before you go condemning me and telling me I'm "blind" or a heathen, take a moment for yourself. Take a deep breath and turn off your pre-programmed responses and insults. Gather what few personal thoughts and opinions you have left (as I know most of you may cling to a few) and use your God-given brain to process what I am about to say.

Most atheists know a great deal about the Bible and God; this is true. The reason is not because they believe in a god. Claiming their range of information is PROOF that they secretly believe in God is like saying a statue is PROOF that all humans are made of stone. Many atheists are informed about Christianity (and other religions) because they took the time to explore their options. They gathered information on multiple topics from multiple sources... Only then were they able to make an informed decision on what to believe or disbelieve. When I say multiple sources, I don't mean bias propaganda websites. In fact, just googling a few things can teach you a lot, even if it isn't formal research.

I've looked over a lot of what is posted on this forum. Frankly, I'm appalled at the severe lack of even the most basic fact checking. If Pastor Ezekiel would have spent a few seconds at google, he would have realized that the video he posted his thread claiming to have PROOF that God exists (http://www.landoverbaptist.net/showthread.php?t=13955) was nothing more than a divine revelation. One of the books at the beginning of the video is by Richard Dawkins; one of the people he said inspired him to make the video! A Google search of Edward Current (the man who made the video) will give you PROOF he was just trying to show the world how ignorant some people choose to be. I mean come on, did Ezekiel even notice when the video showed "Let's make it feel like the 14th" when Current said "It's the 21st century"?

I understand that many of you rely on faith to make the world feel less like the cold, dark rock that it is - that's fine. But allowing your beliefs to influence your life in the way that many of you do is detrimental to you, your community, and our entire species. You become not a God loving Christian with solid values, but rather a hate-filled robot who counters all reason with responses that are always at the ready. The racism many of you people have shown stems from absolutely nowhere. Being white does not make you better than someone who isn't; it's how you live your life that makes you a stronger person.

I am not the devil, I am not blind, and unlike many of you I can proudly voice the opinions that I have and I do not live in fear. I am a 21 year old kid in a world that is both unfair and, at times, evil. This evil does not stem from a mystical demon who lives in a world of fire, but from man. It wasn't Lucifer who crucified Jesus, it was a group of human beings. Satan didn't attack New York in 2001, real live people with very angry intentions did. People who, like you, were so controlled by their religion that they were willing to forfeit their lives as well as the lives of many innocent people to reach whatever paradise the afterlife may hold.

I urge all of you that read through my post to STOP for a second before responding. Take another moment for yourself. Grab a glass of water, go to the bathroom, stand up and stretch. The carefully re-read what I have written and ask yourself, "What will I accomplish by telling him he is wrong? What will I learn if I accuse him of being on the devil's side?" You may feel better by spitting an insult at me, but I know there are at least a few of you that will think about what you have read here later on. It will stay with you until you finally decide to break free and explore. Just because you don't understand why gravity keeps us from floating away doesn't mean it's wrong. Take the time to research things and begin to learn before you doubt. Don't let your peers influence you too much; if you have to, go somewhere that you can be alone to do your research. No one will judge you, be it man or God, for trying to form your own foundation for faith. Don't follow something just because a book tells you to, even if it is the Bible. If you're looking for a loop-hole, just tell yourself you aren't questioning God's writings, but the man or woman who re-printed them.

Your so called logical thinking and rationalisation makes no sense. Listen and see the truth. Don't try to create it for yourself.
