Both questions can be answered by realizing that the sun is not burning the same way a candle is. The sun is using nuclear fusion of hydrogen to burn on a scale of nonillions(10^30) of kilograms, which take a rather long time to burn. Plus, the sun has an atmosphere just like earth does, except its properties are wildly different (heat, chemical makeup, size etc).

    Nuclear Fusion:
    4 hydrogens + 2 electrons --> 4 Heliums + 2 neutrinos + 6 photons
under high heat and pressure conditions

If the whole celestial field turns... then why do stars move across the sky at different speeds and in different directions?

Finally if the planets revolve around earth, why are they much further and dimmer sometimes and brighter and closer at others? if they are revolving around the earth their brightness should remain the same.

Hey, I'm still trying to figure out how the sun can burn in 'the vacuum of space'. Light a candle and put it in a jar with a lid, it won't last very long especially if you use a vacuum pump to suck all of the air out of it.

If we can agree that model rockets take off on chemical fuel... then why is it such a stretch to scale that up, and use hydrogen as a propellant?

Why did you name yourself aristotle? I believe he was known best for deductive reasoning, a skill that seems to be the LEAST valued one on these forums, with blind faith way ahead in first.

    Sample deductive reasoning:
The Bible was physically printed on paper by men.
    Men are imperfect at copying.
It is possible that Bibles are imperfect.

The only argument i see here is that God personally intervened to make sure each printed Bible came out for the last several thousand years typo free. If you wanna roll with that... then its an impossible argument.

P.S. Stars definitely move (except the north star). just make some measurements yourself, who knows, you might unlock an interest you never knew you had.
Venus and Mercury are closer to earth but smaller and not near as bright as the Sun. Go out in the early morning to check for yourself. When they are in front of the sun they get lost in the brightness of the sun, not occluded by it. The stars are fixed with respect to each other but the whole celestial sphere can rotate so different parts of the earth will see different stars in different seasons.

If the sun burned hydrogen, then it would have long since burned up. Look at how quickly the hydrogren in the Hindenberg dirigible burned.

These are easy questions that the Creation scientists at Landover Baptist have long since answered.

While I sometimes find myself tempted to laugh at all the inane drivel that comes out of the mouths of the unsaved, I mostly feel sorry for them. If it's a comedy, it's a rather sad one. But every now and again we actually manage to save people, that's encouraging.

Human beings have passed down stories for a very long time, and a common occurrence is that as they stories are told (NOT WRITTEN) they change slightly with each telling, just as would happen today. But they all had an original lesson to teach, usually a crucially important one. Does their status as "not totally true" invalidate their lesson? Absolutely not. Does it make the individual nuances of a story irrelevant 3000 years later? Perhaps.

No. Its not about picking and choosing, it about distancing yourself from a black and white view of the world. Us vs them. Gays vs Straights. Black Vs White. There is too much gray area in human affairs to apply every last punctuation mark in a several thousand year old book to every modern problem.

How'd this one get by His editor?
The world is either flawed or perfect, and im not seeing a lot of perfect.
Touche. So what is the solution? Should we just pick and choose the parts of the Bible we feel like believing in? Maybe we should just throw the entire thing out, since there was a type-o in 1631.

If I am understanding your argument correctly, you are saying that the Almighty who created the heavens and earth is too weak to preserve His Word to man.

How is blasphemy working out for you?

First of all, this is NOT a debate forum. Please read THIS thread before making an even bigger fool of yourself.

Secondly, while the internets might seem to be "free" to you, this particular corner of the internets is a privately owned Christian forum. The rights you have on this forum are listed HERE. Please contact a Pastor immediately if you feel that any of your rights have been violated.

Finally, your unsaved opinions or tantrums are not even slightly of interest to us. We follow the Holy Word of God TO THE LETTER, and make no apologies for that. One of the most important commandments in the Bible tells us to avoid unsaved scum such as yourself. You wandered in here uninvited, and unwelcome .

Please make a thread of your own in the "Introductions" section of the forum, so that we can properly greet you. Tell us about yourself, your church, and how you came to find Jesus.

And if you're here to flame us, better take a look at THIS before making an even bigger ass out of yourself.

I will pray that the Holy Spirit enter you and chase the demons out of your rectum and let Jesus fill you with His Grace. If you use your God-given free will to reject Christ and His temporary death on the cross for my sins, then you are sending yourself to hellfire.
