And what of other celebrations of human ingenuity like sodomy, abortion and liberalism?

You are just being ridiculous in your defense of the Voyager Hoax.

I think you are missing an important distinction. "Down" is a human creation based only on the immediate spot on which you stand. To make something flat, all the force must be applied in only 1 direction. But gravity pulls equally in all directions, making a sphere the "flattest" object.

I find it intellectually dishonest to say that only things we can observe with our naked eye ("try throwing a rock up in the air...") are the only things that are true, when members of this forum place their absolute faith in a book that none of them saw written, and probably had iterations with slightly different text that came before it. if the KJV was collated in England in 1611... what was it based on? Are humans so perfect that you can be sure that there were no copying errors over the previous several thousand years that the Bible must have been recopied many many times over.

You're mistaken, because experimental evidence proves that what does up does come down every single time. Try throwing a rock up in the air. Do you dare stand beneath it in the hope that it won't come down?

It was already proved with calculations that gravity according to Newtonian physics and a spherical earth model would result such a tremendous downward force that we would all be flat.

We don't trust colleges: 1 in 4 college-going men does not consider it rape to force a woman into having sex.

Now, the whole basis of gravity is "What goes up, must come down.", correct? But at the same time you have "escape velocity" which basically says "What goes up must come down, except when it doesn't." So, which is it? Does gravity force objects up or down? That's how I know the theory is hogwash because it says two contradictory things at the same time.

Sorry, but I don't know how you can believe something so full of contradictions and absurd thinking and invisible, mystical forces. That's why I'm rational. I believe in the Bible.
The basis of gravity is NOT that what goes up must come down. It is that two bodies are attracted to each other based on their masses. We can overcome the attraction of a rocket to the earth by using rockets. If gravity is BS, why does your GPS work? Satellites in orbit are providing you with your location. Its easier to believe in conspiracy than hard work by scientists isnt it. I wish so very badly i could guide you through an intro kinematics course at a college, it answers all your questions.

What a pretty picture. I think even with my poor artistic skills I could draw this picture.

If your going to make up pictures, at least hire a realistic artist.

I’m surprised that anyone believes any of this infantile garbage:

    1. A thing that is invisible yet sends messages to people on earth
    2. A thing that has a huge source of energy to send the messages
    3. A thing that seems to operate on its own without reference to anyone else
    4. A thing that we should hold in awe and amazement
    5. A thing that tells us mysterious things that were beyond our imaginings
    6. A thing that uses a language that is hard to understand and can only be interpreted by trained people.
    7. A thing that only a few people ever claimed to see, and that was years and years ago!

Seriously, it’s all hogwash, isn’t it? Nevertheless, there will be atheists coming along and telling us it’s real! Ha! Their delusions and credulity amaze me.

I don't think they can. The press release posted above is barely legible, it is filled with grammatical errors and odd word choice. Is this how all scientists write?

NASA: Voyager 1 is leaving the Solar System

    December 14, 2010
The U.S. space agency NASA reported that “The Voyager 1 space probe robot farthest from the Earth, reached a new milestone in its attempt to explore the limits of the Solar System.”
And “the most distant spacecraft from Earth reached an important point in its effort to leave the Solar System, as we detect it is about to enter into interstellar space.”
17,400 million miles awat from Earth, the probe detected a significant change in the flow of particles that surround it. This means that the Voyager should be very close to crossing the barrier into interstellar space.
Edward Stone, project scientist, said “the ship is still producing 33 years after its launch.”
“When we launched the Voyager, the space age was just 20 years, so there was no way of knowing that the probe would last long.”
“We did not know how much you had to travel to get out of the Solar System.”
“Now we know that in more or less in five years, we’ll come out.”
The ship was sent on September 5, 1977 and its initial goal along with its brother, Voyager II, was to explore the planets Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune, a task that was completed in 1989, soon to go outer space, towards the center of our galaxy, the Milky Way.
Instruments of the probe with radioactive batteries are still working and sending data to Earth, though the great distance, a message takes 16 hours to arrive.
Stone said “We reached the point where the solar wind, which until now always flowed in the direction away from the Solar System, no longer does.” “The phenomenon is the result of facing wind matter from other stars. That border is the official edge of the solar system and once the Voyager cross it, it will be in interstellar space.
