Why is it so evil to believe that human beings have developed the technology to shape our world (and expand it). I think that is wondrous not evil. Resting on the laurels of only what the Bible teaches would result in our society not having cars, phones, processed food, antibiotics and millions of other inventions were the result of careful deduction of facts not immediately obvious to the naked eye. The voyager probe should be a celebration of humanity's ingenuity, not an affront to god. And earlier someone said something about particles flying sideways... particles change their trajectory in a magnetic field, because fields are circular.

And what of other celebrations of human ingenuity like sodomy, abortion and liberalism?

I think you are missing an important distinction. "Down" is a human creation based only on the immediate spot on which you stand. To make something flat, all the force must be applied in only 1 direction. But gravity pulls equally in all directions, making a sphere the "flattest" object.

I find it intellectually dishonest to say that only things we can observe with our naked eye ("try throwing a rock up in the air...") are the only things that are true, when members of this forum place their absolute faith in a book that none of them saw written, and probably had iterations with slightly different text that came before it. if the KJV was collated in England in 1611... what was it based on? Are humans so perfect that you can be sure that there were no copying errors over the previous several thousand years that the Bible must have been recopied many many times over.

You're mistaken, because experimental evidence proves that what does up does come down every single time. Try throwing a rock up in the air. Do you dare stand beneath it in the hope that it won't come down?

It is that two bodies are attracted to each other based on their masses.

It was already proved with calculations that gravity according to Newtonian physics and a spherical earth model would result such a tremendous downward force that we would all be flat.

I wish so very badly i could guide you through an intro kinematics course at a college, it answers all your questions.

Your gravity theories are self-contradicting. The theory of gravity was started when an apple fell on Isaac Newton's head and he made the assumption there was some mystical force pushing the apple down. Nevermind that this force was invisible and undetectable. Yes you could measure the rate an apple fell, but you couldn't measure gravity itself.

Now, the whole basis of gravity is "What goes up, must come down.", correct? But at the same time you have "escape velocity" which basically says "What goes up must come down, except when it doesn't." So, which is it? Does gravity force objects up or down? That's how I know the theory is hogwash because it says two contradictory things at the same time.

Sorry, but I don't know how you can believe something so full of contradictions and absurd thinking and invisible, mystical forces. That's why I'm rational. I believe in the Bible.

1. A thing that is invisible yet sends messages to people on earth
